I would like to see a breakdown of award winners for the last 20 or so years and see how many minorities these HYPOCRITES have BOTH nominated and won an award and see if it resembles the United States melting pot.

Total of 25 nominations, 7 Oscars; That's about a 30% success rate. The Black population of the US makes up about 15% of the total, so I'd say the numbers are more than reflective of the melting pot. In fact, you might say that Hollywood is overdoing it a bit. And the trend is towards more Black winners, with 4 Oscars in the last five years going to Black performers. Seems as if Hollywood is walking its talk, don't you think? Now, let's look at the pictures.
Best Picture Nominees with Black Themes or Issues since 1967:
1967 - Guess Who?s Coming to Dinner
1967 - In the Heat of the Night (WON OSCAR)
1972 - Sounder
1985 - The Color Purple (8 nominations total)
1988 - Mississippi Burning
1989 - Driving Miss Daisy (WON OSCAR)(8 noms, 3 Oscars total)
2004 - Ray
2005 - Crash (WON OSCAR)
That's 8 nominations, and 3 Oscars. Hard to say that Hollywood is being hypocritical.
I haven?t even bothered to mention those nominees in other categories since 1965 with non-white themes/issues other than Black, e.g., Gandhi, Dances with Wolves, Glory, The Last Emperor, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, etc.
