Going to the UNLV-North Texas game on Sept 17th in Vegas Have a free ticket to the game via a North Texas buddy. Just have to pick up the ticket at the will call window. MY wife says' are they paying your air fare and car rental . Nope .. "so because you have a free ticket to the game that probably cost about $20 bucks you are going out there spending a lot more then the ticket cost" Yep ... " honey can you drive me to the airport Thursday night" I stay with my buddy Ann who was a retired nurse from my HS and plays bingo 24-7 .. Her daughter and son in law teach in Vegas and they built a casita behind their home for her. She moves in to the main house and I get the casita for a few days. Not sure if anyone is out there next week . I usually go to the stations or local casino's . She lives near Southpoint and the " M" Take care let me know if anyone is out there maybe we can hook up for a drink or too.

Made it home last night, a day early. I lost big early on and won it all back, then I lost big mid trip and won it all back, then I lost nearing the end of the trip and gave up. Chas said he thought 8 nights was too long of a trip to Vegas and I agree this time. Redsfann, sorry brother but I canceled my October trip already. Going back in 3-4 weeks is way too fast after a losing trip where most everything went wrong.

Understand completely, Jack.
anything more than 3 days in Vegas these days for me is too much. Plus, my gang is staying at south point, which makes getting to and from the strip a bit of a pain in the ass.
Next time… :toast:

Next time you come, maybe take a day off on the Strip and check out the surrounding area....I know a guy who has a house there and it's just a wonderful place to relax and unwind....
