Mid-point update:

Five plays are decided at the cut and three are winners, including both the large plays
smile.gif
Randolph was five shots ahead of Rymer when he quit after nine holes today in the 3-unit play and in the 2-unit play, Jordan beat Tataurangi by eight shots. In the rest, Damron lost to Gow by ten, Murphy lost to Allan by four and Claar beat Gallagher by thirteen.

Of the three remaining plays, Watts trails Gow by two, Herron trails Quigley by two and Triplett trails Lowery by five, so the weekend can only get better! Same with the outrights. Verplank didn't tee Howell and Triplett are off the pace. But on a congested leaderboard, Quigley is only five shots out of a place finish in 40th place and Triplett is two shots back in 63rd.

Will be away for the next few days, so all updates will be posted on Monday afternoon.

Any of you guys play interactives at WSEX?

I've got Sluman who I bought at 2/4 after round 1 who's now 11/14 after round 2.

Sell or hold?

Like anyone else?

At the cut: Dismal at best
2nd round matches 0-1-1 72 holes 0-2
2nd round
Lewis/Herron push
Lowery under 68.5 loss (70)
Lowery now fails for only the 2nd time in 6 rounds to bust that #.
Had Herron pegged correctly but Lewis did the (all to frequent of late) final 9 collapse bogieing 3 of last 6 including final hole for push.
72 holes
Damron fails to make cut and loses to both Day and Toledo. I should be thankful Gay withdrew.McCarron is 4 down to Sluman in remaining match.
Very poor judgement on my part to go so strong on player of Damrons quality and I paid the price.Despite 70% cut ratio including this cut he is typically an irratic player.
Will see whats out there for 3rd round but will tread cautiously if any play at all as this looks to be one of those tourneys.

Triplett -105 over Herron currently tied

If not for road this tourney has taken so far this would have been the 3rd double play for this year.Herron again incorporated a miserable 32 putts yesterday.

Fairly uneventful week overall.

I only had two outright selections. Verplank withdrew before they started and McCarron finished 15th but never really a winning chance.

The 72 hole matchups went 1-1-1 after Triplett made up 4 strokes on the final day to tie with Lowery.

I had one 18 hole play on the final round which never looked likely as Hughes lost to Gogel.

Final update: 3-4-1 and +1.72 units

Little improvement on the three remaining plays over the weekend. Triplett did close to tie with Lowery, but Watts finished 12 shots behind Gow and Herron finished 6 shots behind Quigley. Still a profit on these plays following the success of the larger unit plays.

Update on outright plays: 0-2 and -2.00 units

Break-even week as both Triplett and Howell finish outside the top-5. They finish 15th and 25th respectively and were never close to securing a top-5 spot. Verplank withdraw before the event started.
