Well you clearly never saw me play.....I got suspended 6 months for punching another player in the face.....and also got banned from a club for one year for throwing my racquet and breaking a huge giant clock that hung above the courts.
So no......I was not a fan of authority.

Can't remember exact date but my friend was hitting partner for him in 2008 or 2009, sometime around that time frame.

Side Note: The clock was like 100 pounds or so, it was a giant clock by the ceiling (indoor courts). Somehow my racquet broke it loose and it smashed to the ground almost hitting this 99 year old women, I almost killed her. There was glass everywhere and people screaming at me, it was awesome
Thankfully the dude that owned the club was a former Davis Cup Player for Canada who I actually got along with, he could have been a real prick and made life hell for me, but he cut me a break. Plus his daughter was (and still is) super hot and I would have done anything he said (because I wanted his daughter). He actually laughed and said "I hated that clock" and never charged me a cent for all the damage. Sadly his daughter hated me and never ever spoke to me, I thought she'd think I was some sort of bad ass, but nope she didn't give a fuck about me

That was 16 years ago is my point - he was a kid who was at the pinnacle of his sport and his world. I don't doubt he was a cocky, entitled asshole, or whatever else - I think he's grown into a fine citizen, sportsmen, and role model. I think a lot of these kids look up to and respect him. I love that he doesn't kiss ass like Nadal and Fed and doesn't care baout public perception. He's a great family man, amazing champion, one of the hardest workers of all time - and respectful of his opponents and the sport.
So, I guess I just don't give a shit that he was a prick 18 years ago when everyone was kissing his ass, and he was a young punk teen. Like if the pros at the club told your clock story, Kickserv would be a spoiled piece of shit asshole, but I'm sure you are a fine gentleman these days.
I've done 1 or2 things wrong in my early life (I think) - I'd hate to have that define me 20 years later.
