I can't remember if in the Kongo/ Barry fight if Kongo went limp and it was allowed to go on or if he was just rocked then came back with the KO
Sometimes in big fights guys should be giving the chance to if they still have fight left in them. But then on the other side of the coin sometimes the ref gives the guy a chance to recover when he clearly should not - example would be Rob McCullough against Olaf Alfonso - and they get hurt more

he was out for a second. Again im sure i can go back and see ur thoughts that the KOngo fight was a good ref job. If dean was reffing Kongo would have lost.
exactly UK. This was the biggest fight on the card. U don't stop the biggest fight on the card.
Maybe Dana told Herb that if Fedor is in any kind of trouble stop the fight so he can have the pleasure of cutting him:142smilie

If Herb Dean was reffing the Brock/Carwin fight Carwin would have won.
If a guy is knocked out you can never complain about a quick stoppage.
Fedor was out...smashed his head on the canvass and then hit another 4 times.
And you guys want the fight to go on.:shrug:

Ya get KO'd......you stop the fight.
If the fight goes on fine.
But for fucks sake you can't say it is a "quick stoppage" when a ref stops the fight when a guy is out.

Nobody ever complains about stopping the fight too quick when she refs.
One of the best jobs reffing was the Finney fight.
If a guy is knocked out you can never complain about a quick stoppage.

what happened to finney was punitive punishment...the woman`s face was caved in while she was stuck in the corner and defenseless curled in a ball as the ref let the fight continue for a round and a half....
this was a fight in which everything happened in a blink of an eye....
and truthfully,i don`t want to make an issue of it,but fedor was moving around pretty good when the fight was stopped....he went limp for a second but came back around...he was on his back when dean stepped in...the punch landed while he was on his hands and knees....
i think dean threatening to take a point...and allowing fedor to be held against the fence when nothing was happening for almost 3 minutes combined with the stoppage looked a bit slanted....
but i had money on fedor.....so,i`m biased and i`m not gonna bitch....it`s over and i accept it...
but finney?...not comparable to this....you don`t look very consistent in your opinions,kick....

i have to see another angle to be honest. i saw the face plant but that could have been just a flash shut down and being off balance. I want to see what happen when everyone got off of him. to me from our angle, it looked like he turned and was just fine. If that was GSP Kick would be screaming from the tallest mountain about a robbery and a rematch.
the more i think about it,the more i question dean`s ethics....
didn`t we just see dean reffing kongo and barry?...a fight in which kongo looked out twice and dean didn`t step in....kongo was hurt worse...took more punishment than fedor.....he looked out twice....
i don`t like or trust herb dean...

yeah...i just checked and it was miragliotta.....i thought it was dean.....
but it does show the lack of consistency in ufc reffing......
this is the second time in a row that i was one fight away from cashing out big(bader),and i wet the bed....hit every fight tonight(short of fedor) and basically lost a couple dollars...
think i`ll just cash out medium(given the flux that the ofshore industry is in at the moment)...
my fucking computer keeps crashing...i`m installing the new one tomorrow...thank god....nothing worse than a fucked up computer...
