To be honest the whole SF/ Overeem deal was not worked out well

a) He was in the Strikeforce HW tournament
b) He would have faced Silva in the semi final
c) BUT...that Silva fight would have been his last in his current contract. So if he won he could have just walked away BEFORE the final

I'm hopeful a deal with be made with the UFC. Regardless of whether people feel he is a legit top 5 fighter he deserves his chance to prove it in the UFC
