1. You are big time now, you had an Octagon girl for your first fight, epic shit right there:mj05:
2. Love the dude that kept saying "Hit him Andy", that is some good coaching right there.
3. You took a balls shot and came back and got the win, such heart right there.
4. kickserv not happy, not happy at all, announcer said you weighed in at 157 pounds, so you missed weight, kickserv does not stand for that shit.
5. akatdrake is undefeated, Zuffa needs to sign akatdrake to a five fight deal.
Here's the deal about the weight debacle - so the fight was booked three months prior at 145. I was cutting slowly and the Wednesday before the fight I made 145. Thursday night (less than 24 hours before weigh-ins), I get a call from my manager who says my opponent isn't going to make weight and asked if I wanted it at 155. I say okay, and start eating and rehydrating.
I get to about 151 early afternoon and get a call from the manager who says go put on sweatshirts and jeans and weigh in... I do so and get to 157. I get a call after weigh-ins - because this was a regional card we could just send videos of our weigh-ins. My opponent was 165.6! He missed weight by 20 lbs of the original, and 10+ from the next agreed upon weight class. So the Wisconsin State Athletic Commission says that because I'm "157" the weight difference is only 8 lbs and they will allow the fight to go on. If I was under-weight anymore, they would not have allowed it to happen.
Anyway, when I weighed myself a few minutes before fight time, I was 148, so I guess I WAS a little overweight from the 145 obligation, but whatever. Funny thing is that I'm not an aggressive person by nature and was having a hard time being so in sparring. When I was told he missed weight not once, but twice, that gave me all the focus I needed.
Thanks for the kind words fellas
