That was an accident, Niskanen did not mean to do that, he was just reacting, it literally happened in less then a second. It wasn't like Niskanen was head hunting. No way in hell you can react in less then a second and mean to do that.

If you give a 5 minute major for head shot the rule states you have to eject the player. I didn't even think it was a 5 minute major, a double minor at best.

There was no intent to injure, there is no way you can react that fast and head hunt, just a split second accident.

Cross checks happen in front of the net 500 times a game, but no way he was aiming at Crosby head/neck, it happened super fast. Crosby was falling down as well, it wasn't like it was at head level.
