This is what I’ve noticed most as coaches try to adapt to the new world of actually using math to help decide when you should go and not.

It’s this weird balance between doing the right thing, knowing your team, worrying about perception, and some of these idiots just can’t figure it out

Sark was doing the same thing. Just randomly getting aggressive instead of making good choices. Again, it’s like fish at the poker table that know they have to bluff sometimes, but have no awareness of the right +EV spots

Sam Darnold grew up in San Clemente, 30 mi south or so along the coast, he's had a rough few years in the League, but turned it around this year, and I loved all the (deserved) attention he got after last week's performance.. was a great job and he seems like a legit nice guy.

that said, tonight was a humungous egg that got laid lol

cost me a bundle.. and I had em teased to +13 (and they were dominating).. very disappointing finish to the regular season.

on the Plus side, I won my Fantasy League today! so I can collect that and hand it over to the agent..

gonna take a few days off

darnold choked tonight in his first big game big time, 55 passer rating and got 2 turnovers in 1st half. he was missing receivers all game.

I cannot back him in any game in the postseason as he will have to prove me he can can handle the pressure and he could not tonight. will bet a martingale against him in the postseason in all games he plays in which should be only one.

This one definitely hurt the pocketbook and funny thing is I would wager the same way again if it was yesterday at 7PM again. Darnold just crapped the bed, never have I seen such ineptness inside the red zone to push it in for one game. Should have been up 10 easily. Thanks for the season regardless Jord, always fun and great entertainment in your threads. Onward we shall go to the playoffs.
