Todays actions of the Cleveland fans further appitamizes the classless organazation that the Browns run. First, three or four drug arrests, then a thug with a gun, followed by this nonsence by the fans. Too top it off Carmen Policy says he admires these fans for support? No wonder the real Browns are playing in Baltimore....To stick with the topic though, cant believe I took these Clowns! Browns as favs???? I'll learn...

On the course!
Cleveland, unfortunately, has always had some bad shit happen at games.

They seem to go a little to far to the extreme. I don't think the Cleveland fans are "classless", and they are some of the best fans in any city. The thing is, there are always a lot of assholes who do teh things that happened today. I am pretty sure most of the fans at the game, and sitting at home, were as pissed of as the rest of us over what they saw.

You are right, though..... no reason for this display.

Bookie Nite--

You took the words right out of my mouth. I just saw Policy and the classless owner defending the thugs. Absolutely inexcuseable. Then again, Policy ditched San Fran when he got them into cap trouble so expect low class things from him.

Bookie Nite:
Do not slam an organization for the actions of its fans. Are the American people to blame for the antics of Bill and Hillary Clinton? Please. In todays sport world, the majority of the athletes are "thugs" as you put it. Check into the roster of any team and you will find your fair share of vagrants. The Browns are investigating the charges against their players and I'm sure action will be taken. Mike Sellers was released by the team for his role.
As for the fans....Cleveland fans are great fans. Again, don't let the actions of a few stupid people ruin the reputation of the entire lot. We haven't seen a championship here since 1960 and we still support our teams very well.
Al Lerner is a top notch owner and I expect to see a Browns championship under his reign. Cleveland will take a lot of flack for this incident. I assure you, had this officiating blunder happened at any other stadium on this past Sunday, the results would have been similar.

I am in no way a Browns backer.....Seems to me that everyone is missing the point in this game.

I would be more concerned with the officials f*ck up than with what the fans did.

When it comes to discussing Cleveland, I always mention the words of the wonderful Russian comedian Yakov Smirnoff who once said:

"Every country has its' one city that everyone pokes fun at. In America, you all make fun of Cleveland. In Russia, we make fun of....well.....Cleveland"

Bottom line is that the right call was made. He never had the ball. Nuff said

I think YOU'RE missing the point. It is ONLY a game, and the fans who threw bottles should be arrested and prosecuted. Lets get a little perspective here.

Remember when then Bengal head coach Sam Wyce got on the PA and said to the unruly crowd, "Hey...you're from Cincinnati...you're not from Cleveland." Now we all know what that meant.

Policy probably should be in jail rather than running a team after his exploits in San Fran and elsewhere.

His and the owner's comments only sanction that type of behavior again in the future.

I don't understand why they are giving that trailer trash the bottles. Most stadiums pour from the bottle to a cup.

Two points for SSD...1) the American people are to blame for Bill and Hillary...remember they got elected. 2) bad calls happen every week in the NFL...I don't recall this beer bottles stopping a game before.

Yeah...Cleveland rocks....that is rocks for brains.

Browns fans are obnoxious. I went to the steelers game in cleveland earlier this year and they would get in the face of anyone wearing a steelers jersey even if they were a women or a kid. Browns fans at the stadium are definitely loyal fans but they are also drunk punks that think there tough as shit when they're in the stadium. In reality most of these guys couldn't kick anyone's ass, but they sure do get beer muscles at the stadium. I'm glad the browns got screwed today.

Nope...pretty sure that the point is that the refs blew the call......twice!
First, they missed the incompletion on 4th down, (fine, we're human and thats why we have replay) Second, they ignored the league's rulebook by reviewing a play that was too late to review.

This gives the entire league a black eye, especially the refs who were holding out at the beginning of the season.

Most of Cleveland's fans are a**holes, trust me, I gotta live around them. Maybe Cleveland should adopt the Veterans Stadium policy and hold court at the stadium.

BTW- the bottles were those new plastic ones, not glass. That does'nt make up for anything, though.

I'm not defending Cleveland as a fan, cause if you know me...you'd know that I'm anti-Ohio. Dizzyton My uncle said the same thing. He went to Cleveland as a Steeler fan and said he'd never do it again.

I have similar experiences when I go to Columbus every other year for the UM game. Looks like they keep it in the state.

Perpectives are like a**holes......everybody has one!

I haven't seen the game. I'm still at work. Will go home in 30 min and watch the hightlights (I hope they'll show). I agree w/ JSMOOTH to some extend. Don't like the idea of calling most Clevland fans aholes. I'm happy that somebody has got up and showed displesure. Throwing bottles might not be a proper reponse but chit I'm not always proper. In Europe or Latin America when the refs phuck-up the whole stadium or the maybe the city would be talking about the ahole ref. They will hear from the whole staium how phucked and a hole they are. Throwing bottles is not right but somebody should spank them in the head.

I am not a Cleveland fan and I didn't have money on the game but that was total BS!! Anyone who says the right call was made has got to be kidding. This is a complete violation of the rules the NFL made up. They blew the forth down call and did not get the review in before the next play, tough shit, play is over! End of story! How cna it be that when a team wants to challenge a call and they notice after they push the button and no one is responding they have to find their little flag to throw on the field? Can't people in the review booth have someone on the sidelines they can radio to throw a flag on the field? This is a joke and will probably be the demise of instant replay which would be bad for the game. Human error occurs but after the next play goes off then it's just that "human error", how many times have you seen a coach able to review a play from two plays before? NEVER! And by the way, if that happened to a team like Philly in Philly, plastic bottles whouldn't be chit, seats would have been ripped out and thrown onto the field and the refs would have to be escorted out of state, so Cleveland wasn't all that bad when you think of what could have happened!

I can't believe the amount of people who are saying that was a catch. The ball was clearly coming out of his hands as he hit the ground and you could even see the ball bounce off the turf as he landed on it. He NEVER had possession. The right call was made to reverse the bad call. Where the officials erred was by not reviewing it before the next play.

No, the laughing stock of the NFL is the Minnesota Vikings. Carolina and Detroit cliam their only wins against this pathetic squad. This could have been the death knell for the sheriff, Mr. Denny Green. He's lost control of the team, has a poor playoff record, and has overstayed his welcome in Minny.

Minnesota will be crap next year just like they are this year. They're bad where it counts most--defensively. Of course most squares and fans only look at the offensive side.
