FINAL POST - U.S. Open
FINAL POST - U.S. Open
IMO, this tourney is over.
Played FIVE parlays from the stuff I had in my last post (along with a basebawler and a couple of college ballers) and I believe the burns on my ass at this point are now 3rd degree burns with that Wawrinka loss.
Here's just a little about how I like to put them together for Petey's question -
I try to NOT have any ONE of the plays I like in more than ONE of the parlays. In other words I don't want ONE losing pick to kill more than ONE of the parlays. F'rinstance, if ya had say 8 picks (that's a lot) you could make two 3-teamers and one 2-teamer and any losing pick coulld only kill ONE parlay,
BUT, when ya make 4 or more parlays ya pretty much have to have your most favorite picks in more than one parlay ...or .. force some more picks :nono: to keep each parlay unique. Wawrinka was one of my bestest picks (until NOW, that is
) and that loss killed
two of the parlays. The real killer was the two teamer I had him @+118 with a BBaller, Tex - 1 1/2 @ +145. BUM MER. He wins that match and I'm sitting perty no matter what the hell happens with the other parlays. The other one he killed had Auburn-2 in last night's football game. BTW, I thought about the over but that line freaked me out (
O/U was 73 1/2 and the dang score was 17-14, clear skies and weather too :0002
Previously wrote,"RAFA or Murray wins it all" and "Clisters or a REAL dark horse" wins it all for the ladies side. And I ain't changing a thing.
I think I already wrote about my experiences with futures... I don't care much for them. For pretty much every Grand Slam I KNOW I'm going to go with my main man but always have some doubts (knees, stomach, rust, etc.) and usually put down one or one and a half stinkin units on him, then watch the tourney, then collect my futures play after he moiders da bums and smack myself upside my head for not putting more on him. I don't play any futures on the French cause his odds are prohibitive.
Same ole story for this Open, I put 1 1/2 stinkin unts but this time I am sooo glad I did mostly cause his odds were excellent going into this thing. I don't consider Zvonerava a dark enough horse so I just recently got ONE stinkin unit on Clister's to win it all. But I'm not so sure about that play to recommend it to anyone. I got it mostly cause I feel like I can afford it since I got the Rafa ticket.
The choices are to either git some Clisters NOW to win it all before the Williams match cause her odds are gonna plummet IF she beats Williams (you can insure it with a play on her oponent in the final if she gets past Williams). Or, you can play it safer and just take her vs. Willaims and not take the risk if she meets Wozzie in the final cause I'm SURE Wozzie is just as good. I think Clisters may beat her though cause of reasons I gave in my other thread. Actually, i don't know if ya can get a futures play anymore? I DID see them avail at Dimes before the matches started for Thurs. though.
Wanna see my 3 live parlays? Maybe ya can just pick one play out of them if you like it too. Here ya go....

Stop in and say "hello" in the MadHouse CFB Bawlroom if I decide to start posting there. I'll have enough data in my spreadsheet from the first three weeks and hope to do good.
Enjoy the rest of the Open, I have no problems thoroughly enjoying the matches with or without any moola on them. Hope you do too.
