I think a scenario that could happen is that last year Oregon kept it real close and were actually winning if i believe correctly until USC decided to turn it on and blow them away. But I just don't see how this happens without the two biggest threats of an offense missing/not the same, that of an exablished QB and that of an established big time RB. GLTA
Last year saw alot of games that fit this mold - and if memory serves me the previous couple years were similar to the results below:
2005
Half/Final
Ore 13/13
USC 10/45
ASU 21/28
USC 7/38
AZ 7/21
USC 14/42
ND 21/31
USC 14/34
Fres 21/42
USC 13/50
UT 16/41
USC 10/38
2006 the trend continues:
Ark 7/14
USC 16/50
I'm not sure about the first half spread of these games, but I would be suprised if the SC oppenent didn't cover in any of these games - maybe Ark. With Nebraska getting 9.5? in the first half, I think there is a very strong trend of SC not covering first halves against every decent team on their schedule - infact trailing at half time 5x last year.
