I think a scenario that could happen is that last year Oregon kept it real close and were actually winning if i believe correctly until USC decided to turn it on and blow them away. But I just don't see how this happens without the two biggest threats of an offense missing/not the same, that of an exablished QB and that of an established big time RB. GLTA

Last year saw alot of games that fit this mold - and if memory serves me the previous couple years were similar to the results below:

2005

Half/Final
Ore 13/13
USC 10/45

ASU 21/28
USC 7/38

AZ 7/21
USC 14/42

ND 21/31
USC 14/34

Fres 21/42
USC 13/50

UT 16/41
USC 10/38

2006 the trend continues:

Ark 7/14
USC 16/50

I'm not sure about the first half spread of these games, but I would be suprised if the SC oppenent didn't cover in any of these games - maybe Ark. With Nebraska getting 9.5? in the first half, I think there is a very strong trend of SC not covering first halves against every decent team on their schedule - infact trailing at half time 5x last year. Nebraska first half ML?

LA Tech won the WAC last year and beat Fresno St. who had USC on the ropes so calling them a scrimmage is nuts.

I agree, I forgot about that game. I had fresno and the "all star" QB threw like 2 pix.

good insight, Neb smashed LA Tech

I liek the under. Side play??--USC 2 weeks to prepare--at home and alot more speed.. Neb sky hi for this game--if they get behind they could fall fast--if they get ahead will be tough--line right where it should be until Neb proves something. GL

For all of you playing Nebraska on the moneyline, I'm playing the Powerball myself this Saturday. Not sure which of us has the better chance. :mj07:

I agree...till nebraska proves something...Hopefully they prove something! They quoted one of the corner backs of Nebraska saying, "on the record, We will win this game."

This will be interesting to see what USC can do replacing 94% of their offense threats.

If Neb wins, I'm definately taking a shot at the powerball tomorrow

Oh for all you drooling over that USC defense I got another defensive powerhouse for ya. Vandy just held Ark to 21 points, only 7 more than USC did and they didnt have the benefit of 5 turnovers. Im thinking this game goes over if anything.
