Little League Standings Question......

here are the final standings for my sons LL team this year.....won't tell you which team is his, but wondering what the rankings should be for the first 3 teams since they all finished with the same records....

if you click on each team, you can see their head to head records and scoring records against other teams in the league.

i have no clue as to how they use tiebreakers, or which order tiebreakers come into play.



(BTW, he made the all star team this year *11 yr. old team*, not the team that can go to PA.... what time and what city his first game is scheduled in is what is now holding me up on listing myself for the vegas trip ) heard they may have to play that Sunday, but the official schedule won't be out for 2 more days.

quad & deco should be switched due to the RF/RA line... Quad has +42 while deco has a +20...

so Tpaine, you're saying that overall scoring differential is the first tie breaker?

i heard something about strength of wins being #1, which sorta makes sense in the ending standings, but i would have thought head to head came somewhere into play first.

here is a breakdown of the links:


M. Dew was 2-2 vs. QCBank Dew 21 runs, QC Bank 27 runs

M. Dew was 3-1 vs. Deco Dew 36 runs, Deco 24 runs

Deco was 4-0 vs. QC Bank Deco 27 runs, QCBank 15 runs


Overall Scoring

M. Dew 138-91
Deco 140-120
QCBank 135-93


Curious why you would put QCB ahead of Deco since Deco beat them all 4 times they played.

okay, wilson, is that because it is based on the other *two*?? MD and QC Bank split their games, and QCBank had more runs in that split.....


both dew and deco had 5 wins against top teams, and bank only had 2.

guess my main curiosity is the order of tiebreakers in LL ..... if it was head to head first, and then scoring for/against in those games, QCbank would have led DEW...

that is true...however, Mt Dew is 3-1 in their head 2 head. 2nd tiebreaker.

correct Poon.... and Dew holds the head to head and runs scored tie breaker over Deco ..... guess if that is the number one tie breaker, i have to agree that Dew should be #1 ... i just thought they may go to head to head first (which would have made QCB #1)

for the record, my son plays for Deco, which IMO should be and is #2, no matter WHICH way you go with tie breakers...LOL ('cept for tpaine's vote that is)

The only reason I voted for QCB over Deco was because I didnt see any scores between the teams, only the runs for and against. If Deco was 4-0 vs QCB then I would have to say they should be above QCB.
