If Packer cb CARROLL, was not on the field, second half would have been a little different I suspect. Lewis has 1 touchdown in 4 seasons, then gets 2 in 3 plays with Carroll covering him. Let's see how he performs next week against a decent defensive team.

Greg Lewis had a td in a certain big game that gave the Eagles a cover if I remember correctly :tongue

Just busting chops.

mcnabb is one of the best qb's in the league. he also seems like a great guy. i'm betting any team would like to have him. i'd like him on the cowboys.

He definitely seems like a great guy, lot of class. But he isn't a great quarterback. I'd say barely average. Look how he gave game to your Cowboys last season on silver platter.

McNabb has torched some very weak secondarys ie,......HOU, SF and GB. He wont get away with that vs Dallas this Sunday. It wont be that easy. McNabb made some good throws last night, but the vast majority of the time his receviers were standing wide open with any defender around for 5 to 10 yards. I mean GB corners suck! If GB can upgrade there defensive backs......they will actually become a pretty good defense. I like there linebackers alot. Nonetheless, concerning McNabb, he is a good QB, not as good as the talking heads on TV say, but he does make plays. But lets see what he does against the Cowboys this week............Im thinking, not much. In fact, by kickoff, I believe Dallas will be atleast a -1 favorite.

Let me see if I can dig up the thread from last season when he was hurt, some people were trying to argue that McNabb was not one of the 20 best QB's in the NFL today. Somebody even had Aaron Brooks ahead of him if I remember correctly.

I'll admit readily that I'm as big of an Eagles' homer as it gets, but come on, his performance must carry some weight.

Do u realize he does this againts terrible teams. You show me a game in his entire career inwhich he played well against a good defense? He hasn't even played well in playoff games but i will let you in on a secret. Great defenses can carry mediocre quarterbacks.

Name a quarterback who does more with less. Had a bad 1st half throwing, but he's still one of the elite quarterbacks in the league.

He had a great defense his entire career. You would not believe how much this covers up. You remember a guy named trent dilfer? He won a super bowl. Guess how he did it?

the nfl is very desirous something something.

mcnabb is a greaqt qb. someone should check his lifetime winning % as a starter. i have a feeling it's pretty damn good.

he's been to more superbowls than peyton manning.

Smurph this is a team game and if you have a great defense those stats are so misleading. His winning percentage is up because of the defense and when he got hurt a few years ago the eagles didn't miss a beat when a rookie AJ Feely stepped in and won 5 out of six and if the kicker didn't choke it would have been 6 of 6.

thanx blackman

he did get his team to some nfc finals and a SB, he did win an MVP; one racist poster who seems to be in hiding this year used to insist Mac was no good b/c he was black/i.e. no mechanics and only a running qb ... course he used those arugments on every black qb too ... love to see him deny it since i kept some of his IMs insisting this :nono:

sorry, to dredge that up but sometimes people learn their lesson when spanked in public and one less racist knucklehead in the world is fine by me

He got his team their with a very good defense and a NFC conference with terrible teams and the NFC east all had terrible coaches. Let me see him get there now with this average defense and now the NFC east has some good coaches.

Yeah I'd hate to be the QB for the number 1 offense in the NFL too.

They played 4 terrible defenses and this is why they are number one. Lets see what happens this week. Im guessing he will do what he always does against a good defense and that is to hope his defense carry's him.

I live in Philly area and have watched Mcnabb right from his 1st year. I fully expect him to beat up on the lesser teams in the league because that is when there is very little pressure. On Monday night the packers brought pressure early and Donovan true to form struggled. Now they will face a hungry Dallas team that will come after the Eagles full bore. No doubt that the last time Donovan played and lost the game late against the Cowboys last season will be weighing on him and he plays very tight in these situations at home. Dallas would be the only pick here or the under as Mcnabb will struggle.

Stabler although i agree with you i have notice he is throwing the ball a little better than usual. But your right in the first half when their was pressure it was back to the ole wild throws. All the time he had in the 2nd half, any quarterback in the league would be able to throw behind that type of great protection.

Yes he has been throwing the ball well but that even strengthens my belief that he will struggle against the Cowboys because he is due for an awful game. The eagles defense may be able to keep it close enough for an eagle win but I wouldnt be betting the eagles this week. best bet is the under 44. If Dmac excells than I will stand corrected and take my lumps. Goodluck
