So sorry, BP. I?m sure it was a effing pit Bull too. I?m always concerned a coyote will kill my little dog, but the neighbor?s dog doing it would be unbearable! Mine is a a Chi mix. Like DTB said and others, there?s no better friend than a dog. Loyal to a fault, forgiving, and always happy to see you. Prayers lifted for you and your little man. I wish I could ease your pain. So sorry!

Thanks it was half pit.. , the neighbors were watching a friends dog. Only 2 of us out of the 4 on the block have dogs and they are acquainted so we had no idea. There really isn?t much around our block the next houses are too far for him to walk too. I was only worried about him getting hit by car. Just so blindsided. He was such a happy dog as I got him from the humane society. He was a sassy cuddler and he was top dog despite being the smallest. I?ve got many many pics and videos of him being his sassy self. I feel so bad for him.

Only cried twice yesterday and well maybe a
Little bit now, I want to thank everyone who replied. Am I an asshole for being on the market for a dog this soon? My GF is mad that I want another one but the dogs we have are hers, they aren?t mine and if I want another dog I?ll be damn if anybody is going to tell me any different. It doesn?t mean that I loved my boy any less but I need a dog to be with me just about everywhere i go as crazy as that may sound, but again thanks everyone

Go meet him and spend some time with him. Maybe two or three days in a row. See how he acts when you return the next days. Sounds perfect for you.

I waited about 3 months before I even brought it up with my wife. When our last one died we swore there would never be another but we were both ready for a new baby. It?s not the same a around here when we don?t have dogs. I?m so glad we did it. Now we have two, one born November 30 and one born March 6. So glad. They are too. It?ll really be great when they are both over the puppy stage. It?s a lot of work training them but worth it.

I do feel guilty for thinking about another dog, my gf is a little disappointed but I really can?t change what happened and she should know I think about my baby all the time but I?m remembering the fun times and like my sister says, just because he?s gone doesn?t mean other dogs don?t need a home
