IMO 16 is too many. 8 would be perfect but I'd settle for 4 in the interim.

why would 16 be too many? shouldnt every conference crown a winner then fill the rest out with at large bids........whats the point of these schools being D1 if they dont have the ability to compete for a championship?

LSU has had more lucky W's in the conference this year than any team in the history of college football. Thats really the only reason they've won their last two in close proximity. After Sabans/Pellini's recruits graduate, we'll see if LSU even remains a powerhouse

BINGO!! Best post in this thread! LSU is without a doubt the luckiest team in CFB this year.

Yep, and add a team like Michigan, and it becomes harder and they would win a division about as often as the other powers in the league do....with the help of certain tie breakers, to be sure, like Tenn this year, Arky last year and UGA in 05.

and arky got beat by the weak wisconsin badgers

And if my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle:shrug: Like I said congrats on the #2 big ten beating the #5 sec team Kudos:142smilie

well the sec being so dominant, they should have no problem defeating the weak big 10

16 is the right number.

don't think we'll get that much right away, they'll probably start with 4, then get it up to 8, which would be great. don't think 16 teams deserve to play for the title, will take too much out of the regular season.

I suppose if it's 11 conference champions and 5 t
large that would be OK. What I don't want to see is the 16th ranked team getting a shot at #1. It would make the regular season meaningless, like hoops.

Hmm trying to run up the score Les Miles real class act! LSU will never make the championship game with Miles as the coach!
