Checking in, lads. Having about my 10th (or so) Vodka Lemonade after my first trip to the golf course in about two months. After golf (which I played very well for me after not playing for months), I did a fantasy football auction and made it home safe and sound. Best part of the day was striking a sweet iron shot from 180 yards to a blind green, and being told by a couple playing partners it hit about 2 feet past the hole, backed up and hit the pin, and bounced off to about 6 inches. Was fun driving up and seeing the ball sitting there. We won $10 on that hole on that shot... :00hour
A fun day, plenty of sun, fun, golf, football BS, and Vodka Lemonades (with NO driving of the car, involved)...

American Fries...You boil the potatos and let them cool, cut them up in about inch cubes. Pan fry them in butter or cooking oil.
I am sure they are called something else in different parts of the country.
Having my 3rd Captain Morgan 100 Proof n diet coke... Been (finally) placing my furniture and belongings back down in basement now that new walls, carpet, and paint has been put in... (Had a sewer line backup out of downstairs shower/toilet)... Found out we had Asbestos in wall mud (house is 1968)... Huge clusterfuck... Horrid Contractors subbing everything out so whole thing took 6+ weeks!!! (2 weeks to get ok from insurance)...
Wife and I survived living in 2 of the 4 bedrooms with our dog and a visting dog of our brothers... One bedroom is an office for Kara which I took over from her... Literally on top of one another without the luxury of 1500 sq feet more, TVs, privacy of my office when fighting.... But, since we survived this, we know we really really love each other.... TOMORROW, after I put this computer back in its rightful place, will be the FINAL THING WHERE I CAN FINALLY RELAX INTO SOME NORMALITY of my own SPORTS DEN (DUNGEON AS WIFE CALLS IT) AGAIN!!!

I'm pretty sure I'm literally going to have to ban pizza completely.
The last two times I have had it, it totally fucks me up.
I eat very little gluten or dairy these days, so i guess it shouldn't come as much of a surprise.
Hoping to get a nap in around 3:30 this morning :facepalm:

It has been a fantastic year for sweet corn and our garden has been over run with vegetables, too. Not too hard to believe with all the rain we had this year--I've got a couple of nice looking watermelons out there that I'm planning on eating this weekend while watching the Hawkeyes....
And since this is the Sportsbar thread, I'll have a couple of beers, too....:shrug:
