Killians #3. Getting ready to bust out the power tools. Need to make a new cover for the sump pump at the rental property.
Thought I had a 12" wide board. Was going to cut it down and carve out a hole in the middle....that way I'd have the 24" width I needed. Alas, the board I've got is 10".

Why cover the sump pump? Rental dumbazz'z? I could understand.
It's a bit of a hazard, even though it is in the back corner of the utility room. I'd rather cover it and not take any chances.

I have an ejector pump for my basement bathroom. This thing stinks to holy hell if it doesn't have a sealed lid on top.
I know the technical difference between a sump pump and ejector pump for bathroom, but should I need to do this for my situation?
Sounds like you already have a "sealed lid on top". What's the question?
