Bought a generator about 4 years ago. I've only had to use it once but believe me I'm glad I had it!

I tried to buy one today. All sold out, of course. I'm getting one in the next few days so I never have to worry about it anymore.

I remember going through an ice storm in Michigan where I lost power for 3 or 4 days. Fucking crazy.
I've got my flashlights ready.
There wasn't even any lamp oil in the whole city. Crazy.
I didn't believe it until it was too late because the winters are mild here.
Where I came from we averaged 150 inches of snow a year and lost power all the time but were always prepared.
Not here I'm not.

The mild winters are sometimes the ones that are the toughest. The freezing rain is worse than the snow!!
