Played Timberline in Calera, I have played that Greenville course several times. Is in my mind one of if not the toughest RTJ courses. :toast:

Heard great things about Timberline, I am the golf pro at Cambrian Ridge and by far my favorite of all 11 sites i have played. Used to work at Capitol Hill, which has the famous Judge course.

That would be Canyon 2 or 8, depending on what tees you played from. My favorite by far is the Sherling.
Sherling is awesome, has been about 12 years since I moved from Montgomery To B-ham. I Played Ross Bridge a couple of weeks ago, have not played the Judge. What a collection of Gems we have on the Trail. We are fortunate and blessed with great golf around the state.
the 1st hole is 501 yard par 4 ... I hit a driver and 8 iron to 3 feet for birdie and said what is so hard about this hole :shrug: :mj07:
I remember one of the par 3s from the back tee was 276 to a peninsula green ... I hit one for the hell of it ... totally jacked a 3 wood into middle of green and said that is even ridiculous for the pros

The Trail was an amazing invention by Dr. Bronner. No other courses can compare to the undulation of the greens, fairways etc. We get people from all over the world on a daily basis. I highly recommend yall to think about having your annual golfing trip at Cambrian Ridge or any one of the 11 sites in Alabama.
DunClock, come play Canyon 8 from the tips, it's around 275 and you are hitting over water and water beyond the green to a triple undulated green, but yes from the tips on the Judge it takes driver on just about everyone of the par 3's.
that is what I was talking about ... the Canyon course ... we used to play it every year on the way down to Gulf Shores ... AWESOME track :0074
Back in the day when Bubba Watson used to bring his college buddies to Cambrian Ridge, he would hit a driver from the tips on Canyon 1 over the ditch. Just imagine that.
