Granddaddy Purple has high levels of myrcene, a terpene that is commonly believed to provide relaxing effects and is used for pain.

You've looked into the theories and research surrounding terpenes, I take it. I've been trying to make sense of it but the research appears pretty inconclusive, and there are some skeptics (like with anything). Idea of the 'entourage effect' is appealing, based on my own experiences (app. 35-year love affair with the herb), but the research findings are mostly unimpressive. I guess that it is difficult to measure qualitative differences and that's what we'd be talking about with this 'effect.'

Let me know a good source, if you have one. Personally, I find Ethan Russo's work to be the best that I've found on the subject. Some good talks and interviews of his available on youtube and elsewhere, and a couple of his key research papers (difficult but skimmable) are available as pdf's.

Holy fuck, its quiet.
Try living alone through this bullshit. Gotta wonder if I'm the last person left on planet Earth when its this quiet.

Trying to get through this dang book on the 1918 pandemic but now I'm distracted.
Should be tunes, anyways.

Good 2-part interview with the aforementioned Russo follows. First part has a link to one of his papers.

I affixed "vg" to the end of each file name so, apparently, I appreciated it. I'll have to listen again; I used to be more gullible. Or, at least, younger.

:toast: yourself, Bob.

PBR I assume?
Have you tried the coffee version?

Number 6 of these bad boys tonight. Steaks, baked potatoes and a Cesar salad with John Prine playing all day.

Hey Mike,
Coffee beer hmmm nope.
We were going to go to Barbados on Saturday but of course postponed. We'll have to pretend it beach weather here but it's Going to be rainy and only in the 40's.
They cancelled training on the Oklahoma track today that going to hurt the 2 yr olds.
I don't see them having a meet this year unless things really improve. We've only been out of the house a few times to go to the store.

Same here as far as traveling anywhere. It was 71 at 3 today? now it?s 51 and falling quickly. Might have snow flurries by Sunday... the fuck is up with that??
I?m reading that baseball is going to play the season in Arizona. Not happening.
I?ve been losing weekly paychecks betting the few tracks still running? could you let them know they should shut down so I can eat next week? :mj07:

Ah, fuck it... worlds ending next week anyway...

I?m an early riser. This morning I get an email from the daily racing form telling me they have free PPPs and picks for Hong Kong. Then I see the 2nd race goes off in 10 minutes. I blindly bet the 4 horses they tout and bam! :mj07:

I?ll never understand the appeal of this swill when you could be drinking something like Harp instead

Never even heard of Harp. I'm simple and would just prefer my Mickeys but they didn't have it, Stella caught my eye and I got it. I don't care for the IPA's at all. Enjoy. :0008

Harp is an Irish lager, not an IPA so you might enjoy it. Beer, like everything else, is an individual choice and there are no wrong answers? except for bud products and Stella :mj07:
