I can definitely relate to that! My first job out of college was about 7 hours from where I went to school (not to mention a significant culture shock), and a bunch of friends relocated to various areas as well. There would be many nights that four or five of us would just stay in, knock down some drinks, and shoot the shit on instant messenger. Those kind of nights kept me from being too homesick.
