Well, its gettin close....I had a great time last year, and looking forward to this year, looks like a lot of new faces...the more the merrier....well have to get more pics this year too.....:drinky:

Does anyone know anything about the Freemont St. Experience? Was thinking of heading there since it is impossible to get tickets for shows during superbowl weekend.

Fremont Street Experience...total letdown. About $15 cab-fare each way to get to and fro from the Strip and it's nothing special at all.

I called up the Mirage this afternoon about tickets for Danny Gans.I was looking for tickets for that Sat. nite & was told they only had single seats available. The only tickets that seem available is for Wayne Newton !

i booked thursday night. not sure about saturday. if you book from that link above (not the mirage link) they have seats for any night and the best seats but they charge DOUBLE. there are 2 links. you have to click the link that says "click here if they are sold out"...something like that.

personally, unlike hoops, we LOVED the laser light show and everything else about Freemont. (but i had kids along that were young and thrilled to see it all, which could have added to the experience.)
as far as Wayne Newton being the only tickets left.....IMO, he is the BEST SHOW IN VEGAS (or was)......
you can't possibly imagine how i had to be dragged to the show kicking and screaming the first time (age 17) but have probably seen him 15 times now, and enjoyed every single show!! He isn't the greatest singer (not even close in fact) but his *showmanship* is magnificent.
(i'll probably have a car available in vegas again this year if you and the wife want to do Freemont tho. chances are i'm gonna want a night down there
