Kansas City area for who knows how long....
My mom's house in central Maine is for sale! Bring your offers!

Granite foundation, old-growth joists are 12 inches on center, etc. Solidly built! (don't ask me what it costs to heat that thing in winter....) Low of -13 this Friday, high of 4 degrees. So I guess winter is there...

Actually in May.....Coastal weather is actually a nice secrete, winters tend to be more forgiving although we do get our fair share of the white stuff......If you enjoy shoveling, the property above in Old Town is for you.....

Old Town got only 17 inches of snow last few days....about half of the last several winters there have been worse than normal, even locals were complaining. I'd tell them "I'm moving to Alaska next year so I can have a real winter!".
