1. Get on the right side

2. Reduce your risk

3. Don't be a homer

4. Reduce the plays you make.

5. Reduce the no name college football games Mon-Fri. These games are for action.

6. When you lose, don't chase late plays.

7. Do not handcuff yourself with one type of wager. Be versatile.

8. Do not play parlays and teasers. Just do not !

9. Do not wager on games where you have not seen both teams play one full game.

10. No woman, No children

11. Cash the ticket.

12. Don't be a pussy

The thing I love about March Madness is the one and done.

It gives me a opportunity to get the absolute best effort from the teams
in a wager.

Injurys...... forget about it ... they are playing.....

best effort to win is what I look for. I lean to favorites but love a good dog.

Totals - I will not be playing totals in March Madness, unless I follow hawkeye's plays.

I just hope I don't have to buy four fucking points.

Arkansas # 24

18th-ranked Razorbacks will try to extend their win streak to six games and secure their longest on the road in 13 seasons Saturday against Mississippi State.

Arkansas within three games of conference-leading Kentucky who they play next week.

The Razorbacks are 5-4 on the road, giving them a chance to finish above .500

They would guarantee at least a .500 road record with their second victory over Mississippi State this month.

Gonzaga, which has won 20 in a row for the third time, has claimed 10 of the league's last 12 regular-season titles outright. Second-place Saint Mary's (20-6, 12-3) won it 2011-12, one season after the schools shared the championship.

What is the reason of this thread, with all due respect? And, you decide to post last year record for the world to see in the thread (hopefully, I am sure)? I am just asking, not trying to start anything because I see you have had a few arguments in your past with members here. Many, actually.

Is this thread ever going to see an actual wager or is this where you talk to yourself? If it is the later, sorry for interrupting your self discussion.

Very strange. Very strange, indeed. And boring. But, you got me to look.

Good info & solid post to check out.... & I agree. UK will NOT cuts the nets down this year. Going undefeated in a garbage sec conf means nothing. I see 5 or 6 teams better than them. Great team but will not win 6 games in a row vs good teams in March.

Do think Kentucky cuts nets down if I'm betting on it, but tremendous pressure and I would best against it at even money any day. KY will likely roll into NCAA tourney undefeated and then loss maybe before Final 4... 3 pointer is a huge deal, if you're hot from trey land, you can beat anyone.

I would wager Kentucky won't finish undefeated and won't win it all... it's just law of probability and KY will lose a game before they win it all IMHO... have a 30% chance at doing this right now is my guess at going undefeated. Anyone wants 1 to 1 odds, bring it! They aren't that good offensively and the top teams can all beat someone on a day they're hot and KY is lucky to play in a SEC conference with zero top teams.

Alot to agree with in your post.

It was almost embarressing for Kentucky to have been leading 44-4 at the start of the game.

Somehow that pedal to the metal shit comes back to haunt teams. It was like a Stever Spurrier re-incarnate with Georgia teams in the past football years. Spurriers teams were hated for doing that.

In this thread I am trying to find that team that could take Kentucky down. Its almost my sole purpose. Because if I can do that , it will provide me with the team that is going to win alot of games in March Madness. If I can jump on board early with that team, I win alot and cash the tickets.

After game

So that game is over and Gonzaga wins the game by 10 which seemed almost impossible with 4 minutes to go. Its one thing that makes capping college ball so difficult and I take my hat off to the guys that win consistently doing it.

I don't cap basketball until after football is over. Have not wagered one game this year in the regular season.

For some reason the one and done aspect allows me to play on a even field. And I usually buy the shit out of extra points just for that reason.

Gonzaga is good. And they won on the road which is important to me. They are very good team with balance. They have always been missing the big man in the middle but they seem to have one now.

Them and Kentucky will make a good matchup if they can both make the grade and March through the Madness soon coming.

There is something about the Miss St and Arky teams that I do not like.

They are not teams of destiny and Arky may not even win 2 games in March Madness

Kentucky is going to roll vs Miss St Wednesday and then Arky Saturday next week.

Arky has weakness easily exploited.

UCLA played as if it had something to prove at the start, hounding Arizona's ballhandlers and forcing tough shots.
The Wildcats missed their first eight shots and had four turnovers in their opening nine possessions, looking like a nervous road team, not the nation's seventh-ranked team playing at home.
A pair of backups finally got Arizona going.
................................................................................................................

Also taped the Arizona vs UCLA game and watched it awhile ago.

Arizona is a top team but something missing from them in that effort. They played sloppy and offense far lacking for a #7 ranked team.

Have to see them again against # 9 Utah and see how that game plays out.

I try to pinpoint the weakness of these teams, and in the tourney that is usually what takes them down in the end.

Arizona's offense could do them in early in March Madness. Not playing well on the road is a big red flag for me.

Arizona and Wisconsin would be a game I would like to see in March Madness. I have no clue if this game could even come about as I never think about brackets, just games that present in front of me. I can tell you one thing, in this scenario I would be on Wisconsin big big huge. !!!!!!!

We are nearing March, which means that while it's still too early for brackets, we can officially start dreaming about Cinderellas and Final Fours. This year's Duke team gives Coach Mike Krzyzewski a remarkably balanced blend of talent and perhaps the best player he's ever had in his 35-year tenure in Durham. In the mix once again, the Blue Devils are hoping to move beyond last season's shocking and embarrassing round-of-64 exit at the hands of Mercer.

Let's examine five reasons Duke, currently sitting at 21-3, could cut down the nets come that first Monday night in April.

GUARD PLAY

tyus jones quinn cook

Deep runs in March are fueled by great guard play -- just look at last year's champ, Connecticut, who underperformed most of the season only to win six straight en route to a title behind the brilliant duo of Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright. Duke has a similar pair of playmakers in senior Quinn Cook (right) and freshman Tyus Jones (left). The beauty of these two is that akin to Napier and Boatright, they can both play on and off the ball, and they can both really create opportunities in late shot clock situations. Jones tends to act as the lead guard, and his dynamic creativity in pick-and-roll is downright prodigious. His 5.3 assists per game ranks him second in the ACC and, despite his youth, he has already become an extension of Krzyzewski on the floor. Best of all? Cook -- whom Krzyzewski continually calls his team's leader -- and Jones are both superb 3-point and free-throw shooters, connecting on 40 percent of their attempts from distance. Cook and Jones convert 91 and 87 percent, respectively, from the stripe.

JAHLIL OKAFOR

jahlil okafor

Enjoy him now, because the Chicago product is going to be the top overall pick in June's NBA Draft. Okafor -- whom HuffPost caught up with last April -- is a classic big man blessed with tremendous footwork, a deft touch around the basket and disruptive shot-blocking skills. Nearly 6-foot-11, he possesses excellent hands as well and unlike most young bigs, doesn't mind passing out of double teams. But Okafor's best attribute may be the fact that he is not limited to the block. Duke uses him all over the floor. Even when he catches the ball 16 feet from the hoop, he is smart enough to make the correct decision: attack the basket, kick out or find a cutter. The only real concern with Okafor is that he sometimes gets in foul trouble, as he did in Duke's 90-60 win over No. 10 Notre Dame on Sunday. Afterward, Krzyzewski said he would have left his young superstar in the game if not for the 42-7 run his team went on. In a one-and-done format, you worry about foul trouble, but perhaps not as much with a player as intelligent as Okafor.

THE 'OTHER' FRESHMAN

justise winslow

We've addressed both Jones and Okafor, but Duke's most valuable player is often Justise Winslow, a rangy two-way wing oozing with NBA potential. Few players in the country can impact a game defensively like Winslow, whose dad enjoyed a brief NBA stint but never had the raw ability of his son. Winslow Jr., at 6-foot-6 with a 6-foot-10 wingspan, can guard every position on the floor. While he is not a consistent jump shooter just yet, he has a real knack as a slasher and phenomenal finisher. The left-handed Winslow averages 11 points and gets to the free-throw line an impressive four times per game. If Okafor or Jones suffer an off-game, his attacking style will give the Blue Devils another valuable option.

THE 1K MAN

mike krzyzewski

Four national championships and the first Division 1 men's head coach ever to reach the 1,000-win mark, Krzyzewski has all of the big-game experience you'd ever want. In attending Duke's 90-60 drubbing of Notre Dame, what struck me about Krzyzewski was how he coached each possession as if the score was 0-0. It was almost as if the game itself didn't matter so much as the preparation for what does matter: March. This is not a classically deep Duke team -- they have just eight scholarship players -- but it is an extremely talented and diverse one. The recent dismissal of junior guard Rasheed Sulaimon opens the door for sophomore Matt Jones and freshman Grayson Allen, two blue-chip recruits who are just starting to turn it on. Krzyzewski, 67, believes strongly in man-to-man defense, but his willingness to adapt to his personnel and shift to zone is also worth noting. He will employ the zone to protect Okafor from foul trouble, but just as importantly, his team rebounds exceptionally well out of the zone. Krzyzewski's ability to exploit every advantage possible will be most important against foes like Kentucky, Virginia and Wisconsin. He has a very well-balanced offensive attack that averages a healthy 80 points per game while ranking sixth in the country in total field goal percentage, making almost 50 percent of its attempts.

BATTLE-TESTED

duke

What the ACC lost in charter school member Maryland's departure to the Big Ten, it gained in perennial powers Louisville, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Pittsburgh. Fourth-ranked Duke, who always endures a brutal non-conference schedule, has the most impressive resume in America. And that comes with all due respect to undefeated Kentucky. The Blue Devils boast wins over Michigan State, Temple, Stanford, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Louisville, Pittsburgh, St. John's, Notre Dame and Virginia. While regular season success hardly guarantees tournament success, Coach K's young squad has a barrage of quality wins over legit contenders. March Madness is all about survive and advance, and that's what this team has done all year long.

.............................................................................................................

Favorite time of year for wagering on sports is March Madness.

I have always watched more Duke games than others.

Kentucky might have a say in the final four outcome.

Close call at LSU though.

undefeated.

Kansas plays tonight at 9:00 PM at Kansas St

Eighth-ranked Jayhawks try to avoid a third loss in four road games when they visit rival Kansas State on Monday night.

Kansas State (13-15, 6-9) has dropped seven of eight after falling 69-42 at Baylor on Saturday. It shot 38.3 percent while scoring its fewest points since a 63-41 loss to Texas on Jan. 10, 2001.

..................................................................................................
early in the year Kansas got blown out by Kentucky.

Hope they dont meet them again as they would get destroyed again.

Kansas should beat Kansas St by -5 points

they are ranked :scared

#8 Kansas is just 8-6 away from home this season (14-0 at home).

Kansas shot 2-of-14 from the floor in the final 10 minutes of the game, including 0-for-10 from outside the paint.

The Jayhawks finished the game with a season-low three field goals outside the paint.

...................................................................................................

not only do they not cover the small number away from home, but they lose.

if you cant win away games, forget about advancing in March Madness.

#8 Kansas should drop to #18

horrible game for them
