Anyone here know what brand or type of guard he uses it looks like it is pretty impressive.

My son had a bad injury at school two weeks ago and I need to find a good guard so he can play sports again dentist said they could make a personalized one but not sure which is better.

Long story short he is 11 yrs old in public school at PE the teacher decides to teach the kids how to play golf and one of the kids swung out of turn while my son was walking up to take his turn hit him square in the teeth knocking out one tooth completely and chipping 5 others all front upper and lower teeth are loose and unstable. I've already spent over 5k on dental work and root canals hired an attorney to sue for lack of supervision and damages but will take awhile needless to say I was and still am  at the school and teacher.

On the course!
Maybe your lawyer can help find you a good mouth guard?

I'd hate for anyone here to recommend one, have your kid not pay attention and catch another one in what's left of the chops, and then you sue that member, and Madjack Sports for "bad advice".

Thanks!! just asking a question on the type of mouth guard could really do without your stupid sarcasm what an ahole you are as my son is really messed up and in pain and he was paying attention the kid took another swing out of turn and i'm not the type to sue but this is going to cost over 40 or 50k and the teacher should not have let 11 yr old kids swing golf clubs unsupervised all I want is the school to pay for the bills. So maybe you should think before you slam people ahole!!

I have been teaching junior lessons since i've been 16

it is very easy to do this... that is why you need at least 1 person for every 5 or 6 students.

that teacher is an idiot... didn't think the plan through...

i hope all works out for you!

Justin thanks for understanding I cannot believe the teacher let these boys swing clubs while he did not have a teacher per each group. The whole thing has been a major ordeal the poor kid has already had to endure 8 hours of dental work and a root canal so far my bills are over 5k and not even close to done he has had to miss 3 weeks of PE and our basketball season which I am the coach of his team so it has not been fun.

As for YYZ you are a complete insenstive moron and hopefully karma comes back at you to say maybe my son can get hit in the chops again is just stupidity and rude. YYZ GO F YOURSELF YOU LOW LIFE SCUMBAG:director:

Dont know what kind Barber uses, but check these out... not expensive. Gel makes impression of the teeth..

http://www.shockdoctor.com/products/mouthguards.aspx

these should be easier on his teeth than the typical ones u have to boil before molding....

and schools can randomly search any student they want to because they are under "state supervision"

also randomly drugtest all students who participate in extracurricular activities.

So the govt is stating that they are responsible for the well being of the students...

sue the shit out of them!

also, when i played football I had one custom made from a dentist... you could talk normail and everything with it in. I wouldn't take it out the whole game...

My mom was a hygenist at the time so I don't know how much it would be retail.

I would go that route.

Custom one from your dentist is best but at his age he's in transition and you may need a new one made in a few years. They will fit the best though and provide the most protection. Any dentist can do it, will cost a few hundred bucks to have a custom one made. You can either do that now or use the ones like boil and bite for another few years until all permanent teeth are in.

Off to go pull some teeth

that sucks, hope all goes well for your son....since he is 11, i'm guessing his permanent teeth haven't come in...hopefully they will fall in place and no one will be able to tell.....

screw having the school only pay for the dental...pain and suffering for your son and the whole family.....

had a friend who's daughter, i think she was 4 or 5, and ran out on the baseball diamond b/c she saw her dad and ran into path of one of the dad's practice swinging....brain damaged for life...freak shit.....just terrible.

I know you didn't post it. Even says that in the quote.

But it makes about as much sense as the suit you want.

By the way. You don't have insurance to help cover this? How about the other kids family? Or, is it just easier to go after the school district, in hopes that they have "deep pockets"?

I'm thinking that if one of the boys on your basketball team chucked the ball at another kid, and knocked his teeth out......and his dad sued your ass because you should have been supervising the boys better......you might be singing a different tune. Somehow, I doubt you'd be setting your head on the block saying, "I should have been watching him closer.....you're right."

(Here's where you tell me it's not the same thing, and call me heartless prick.)

Back in the 60's when I was a kid....I swung a bat, missed the pitch and knocked a kid out :mj07:

He's in prison, killed his folks...I should have hit him just a little bit harder.

Your exactly right you are a heartless stupid prick

I have taken my three boys out to the driving range you have to watch them and stand right by them for proper distance this teacher sent the kids out 75 yards away from him with a lethal weapon in their hands how is this the same thing!! I sent my kid to school with teeth and healthy and he came home maimed. I have coached youth sports (baseball, basketaball and football) for 7 years the first thing I tell parents is your child will be safe when they are with me I provide a secure setting. If a basketball or an elbow were to strike a kid that is an accident inherent in the sport or extracurricular activity this is a public school.

YYZ as usual you are being a fucking asshole. If you don't have anything to contribute to the thread then just stay the hell out of it. Hopefully you haven't produced any more miserable offspring like yourself for the world to endure...but if you have kids you'd understand how the guy feels. These costs are above insurance it will cost thousands and will take years...this isn't something that gets fixed overnight.

Like it or not that teacher and the school are responsible for the safety of their children. Accident or not there is someone who gets paid to make sure kids are safe and they failed in that job here.

Again unless you have something productive to add here all you are doing is proving what an asshole you are. Time to add you to the ignore list.
