Next two years is going to see huge change in seniors...there are players who are competitive on the main tours about to arrive, such as McNulty. Most of the guys playing this week are on borrowed time!

:( Just got this email from skybet

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your e-mail. Unfortunately I have just had it confirmed that until current legislation we are not allowed to accept bets from US citizens residing in America. I apologise there is nothing we can do about this and we have returned your cash and cheque by insured post.

Regards

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Anything but my ordinary routine during the last ten or so days. I don't think I'll try to jump in midstream with the jumbled proceedings at the Hope. But a couple of things interest me.

It doesn't take much thought or decent odds for me to let the team of Watson and Edwards carry my cash this week.

As of this moment I have followed golf this week for 15 minutes on the computer and ten minutes on television. In those ten minutes I thought I caught a noticeably patient and expectant equanimity in Nick Faldo as he slogged out a bogie on 15 yesterday. This morning I see he didn't right the ship before carding two more bogies coming home. Not exactly what I wanted to see, but it certainly enhanced his odds. He finished 69-69 here last year.

Tom Watson(9/1) e.w. for 0.50* @ Bet365 (1/4 odds for 4 places)

Nick Faldo(50/1) e.w. for 0.50* @ Bet 365 (1/5 odds for 4 places)

Back to work.

Final update:

Matchups: 3-3-0; +1.25 units

Player/Palmer WON by 14
Dougherty/Ginn LOST by 3
Irwin/Kite LOST by 2
Wadkins/Jenkins LOST by 7
Nelson/Tewell WON by 11
Quigley/Zoeller WON by 3

Outrights: 1-2; +4.25 units

Irwin 16th
Nelson 2nd
Doyle 7th

Nice start to the Seniors season. Easy win with the Player/Palmer matchup and though the rest were a little disappointing, Nelson always looked a contender for a top-4 finish. Did get the call on Irwin wrong though. He was leading the event after the 1st round, but it was downhill thereafter.
