I'm pretty sure Tiger will take this, but have had the following bets tonight based on place value for 5 or 6 (Paddys) places on an event where there are fewer realistic winners than a normal PGA tour event.

Dustin Johnson - class act - 7 PGA tour wins at age 28 - 40-1 taken with PP for the 6 places. 3 years course experience now under his belt.

Zach Johnson - had a quiet year so far, but is a Georgia and Southern states specialist and former winner- age 36 with 9 tour wins - 100-1 taken with PP for 6 places

Nick Watney - been looking for him to come to life this season and with a strong finish at Redstone this could be the week. 5 -time winner aged 31, Butch Harmon will have him spot on for this and he has enough course experience to contend now. 55-1 taken.

Also, couldn;t resist the 100-1 on Bill Haas (win only to trade unfortunately)

US golfers (as Arnie said) are sweeping all before them this week and I'm backing for that to continue at Augusta but surprised if the best golfer ever to walk the planet is beaten with his current mental fortitude.

I read somewhere that the past three times Tiger has started a season with three wins before the Masters, he has failed to win the Masters. Don't remember where I saw that, but found it interesting. Again - no link or definite reference, maybe someone else can confirm or deny. Will have to check that out - might be food for thought in a wager. I've already dropped a little on the Field... agree it's tough to go against him right now, but remember it always was before when he was hot coming in. I still think he is not in the same mental place as before when he was so dominant, but tough to argue with him in this spot. Just can't lay the wood with so many good, hungry golfers pointing to the event at this point.

If you can get a fair field bet, I would consider that.

Too many places offer 15-20 golfers at odds, and then have the REST in the "field".

I think 5D has Tiger at +325/Field -405

That would be worth a consideration.....

Right, yyz... I know I just tossed a little out of the gate at the golfers not named, and the golfers named was higher than you mentioned. I got that at +250. It just seems like most years there is that one guy that comes out of nowhere that is hanging around - usually someone with experience and has the ability to play solid golf under pressure.

Admittedly, probably not something everyone could get behind, but as I mentioned, I just put a little there. I was asking for input on what I had seen, and after looking a little tonight I did verify at least twice Tiger had come in after three wins before the Masters and not won that year, guessing what I saw may be right.

My next goal is to find about three golfers I can really get behind that I think might be around on Sunday to make it interesting that have better payoffs.

Yes. I noticed that.

I agree that he is not in the menatl state that he was wehn dominant in his 20's.
However, I think he is much mentally stronger than he was in the last 3 years and I'm not sure the main protagonists in the field are in as much form.
Let battle commence.......

I think Tiger has that slight edge back that he had been missing for a few years....The fear factor. Golfers can see, once again,, if Tiger has the lead, he's keepping. It.

I am all over the field bet and got it at better odds than listed. It is dropping. Got it at 1.25. Too many variables not to take that bet versus woods

Good luck

Kuchar to win 35-1
Watney to win 75-1

I've used these two guys a lot in the past, so you already know what I think of them.
The exclusivity of this tournament really bothers me. I do love the golf and the course though.

Lead after 1st rd

Z Johnson 60/1
Choi 60/1
Huh 80/1

.10 units each

To win

Z Johnson 100/1
Van pelt 100/1
F Jacobson 125/1

Been waiting for this one for months. Taking a little time off/recovering means he comes in flying under the radar(relatively to Feb). My book did not offer when he was 50/1 but I will gladly take the 33/1.

To win

Snedeker 33/1

.70 units
