#1) Tebow wasn't vilified for his beliefs. Kurt Warner survived just fine. Just the myopia of the bible thumpers who rooted him on and were irrational about him.
#2) Vince Lombardi would have drafted Sam if he thought he could play and because his brother who he loved was gay he wasn't a fucking sorry ass homophobe racist like you.
#3) Like someone said, who the fuck would be having his kids watching the 7th round of the draft?
#4) I hate to break it to some of you, but overall the younger generation is more accepting of this stuff.
Go ahead and keep bitching about it. Will not change anything.
#5) Of course ESPN would show the kiss, controversy breeds ratings. Cynical but it's business and that is what they are about.

Tebow won a playoff game and 7 games in a row, he was a great player in the NFL, won as many playoff games as the great Tony Romo and he keeps getting contract extensions

Its ashamed the younger generation is more accepting, its been in grained in them from their professors and the god damn news media

I do not recall ESPN or NFL network (Can't recall which I was watching) airing that much PDA from a straight couple in past drafts. I think the cake sharing was a bit over the top and am certain that I have never seen anything like that aired on network TV. Of course, I watch very little TV, so it is quite possible that heterosexual cake sharing has been aired on live TV in the past.

Can't explain it. It's just when you have feelings for a dude, well, you have feelings.

Ponch got me through a time in my life where I needed someone. Just something about CHiPS that had a wonderful effect on me. The uniform? That badge? I don't know.

It's a shame Ponch wasn't a college football player. He woulda gone in the 1st round! Wide receiver for sure!

Can't wait until other drafts to watch 2 dudes playing tonsil-hockey. It's good for the game.

I hear ya brother. For me it was The White Shadow. Everyone has their own angel to carry us through the valley of the shadow.

Time moves forward. It's the only direction it can go. You are very young to be sounding so old. I have hope for you, though. You are hanging around a diverse group of middle class white males here at madjacks. Surely some of of the cosmopolitan traits of this place will eventually rub off on you. :)

If you feel Tebow is in Romo's class, then you are dumber than I thought.

Yes, it is truly a pity that society evolves

I DON'T NEED TO WATCH. I DON'T NEED TO HAVE IT INFLUENCE MY CHILDREN.

Since when is SEXUAL PREFERENCE and WHO YOU FUCK my business.

Did Michael Sam come out because HE KNEW HE WASN'T GOING TO BE DRAFTED AS PLAYERS KNOW WELL IN ADVANCE IF THEY WILL BE OR HAVE A CHANCE TO BE....WHY ?

There are players in every sport who are gay but why is it anyone's business.

Fuck the media. Fuck you.

It's funny my very good friends....A VERY GAY COUPLE...LESBIANS and one is a police captain...ARE SICK OF IT TOO. THEY THINK SAM IS AN ASSHOLE AND DID IT FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS.

95% of what the media covers in relation to sports is unnecessary fluff. And little of it is important in the grand scheme of things. It's sports. It exists to make money. So even if the Michael Sam draft moment wasn't important news (which is debatable) there are a lot of football fans who DO care and ARE interested. That?s who the media was talking to this weekend. Other customers.
Expecting the media created "narrative" about sports to perfectly align with your world view and personal preferences 100% of the time is silly. You aren't the only person they care about. Believing yourself to be is going to result in this disappointment over and over again.

And seeing how you must be smart enough to know all that already, most of the fluff in your post should be edited down to ?Two guys kissing grosses me out and makes me uncomfortable? or ?If my kids see this on TV they might become comfortable with it, which I prefer they didn?t.?
Which, by the way, is something of a mixed message. You don?t want your kids influence by two guys kissing on TV, but you have gay friends? What exactly DO you want your children to think about gay people? And is it working?

Of course seeing how you knew about the Michael Sam story going into the draft and presumably have a remote control, I am not sure why you just didn?t change the channel or turn off the TV. That?s what I do when something on TV is not to my liking.

I think it was scripted by Disney/ESPN  And he was the 249 pick out of 256, come on, the NFL made the Rams take him so it could all happen for tv
