It will be nice IF he wins this bet. After his career is over and he can't make 6 million on a fight, and I guess he has no financial troubles now, but let him keep playing these big numbers gambling and he will be broke soon after he retires,,IMO,,,

try 50-60-100 million a fight not 6. What planet have u been on?:mj07::mj07::mj07::0corn:mj07::facepalm::facepalm::popcorn2

Don't mind him, bigdaddy. He's still in a daze after he didn't get to watch Bama in the championship game this year. :mj07:

Mayweather has a phenomenal record on these big bets. He is a very sound investor, and he will never go broke. He is risking six percent of his net wealth on this game. Not an overly crazy percentage. It sounds like decent money management to me. Amazing how people will shoot off their mouths about things solely based on their assumptions and prejudices.

I am damn glad to have MONEY on my side in this tilt! :00hour

From where I'm sitting, risking 6% of anybody's net worth on a football game is absolutely nuts. Obviously what he does with his money is his business, but if he doesn't tone it down he will go broke, no question, just a matter of when. He should watch ESPN's 30 for 30 "Broke".

Don't be hating on Money just because he went against your play, ya damn dirty ape.

He has nearly $200 million in the bank, and he will probably earn nearly that much or more before he retires. Six percent on a value such as Denver is a smart play. He'll be nearly $10 million richer come Sunday. :00hour

Haha, not hating, just doing simple math you damn dirty donkey!

We're not talking about 6% of the money he has set aside for gambling, we're talking about 6% of ALL OF HIS MONEY!!! Doesn't matter what side he's on, or how much money he has for now... if he keeps betting like that he'll go broke. Even if he wins, no way in hell is this a "smart investment". Next year he'll bet twice as much, and then three times as much until... POOF!!!

Seriously though, has anyone seen "Broke"? They should make every pro athlete in every sport watch it once a year.

that's when you know your program has reached the pinnacle....

when fans can only criticize you about finally not making the championship game...

PSU WILL BE THERE SOON

Couldn't agree with you more!! I hope he wins as I have my money on Denver- but Floyd- I have watched tons of footage and read articles on his spending habits- This guy throws money around like nobody else on the planet without an oil well in their back yard!!

Yes I have watched "Broke" and it was great!! 110% agree every athlete should watch it

Vegsa built on Whales throwing money around going broke PLUS retirement people pulling 25 cent slots..

No financial advisor would ever recommend throwing 6 million on a game- $50-$100K on a random Tuesday night on girls, bottles (Floyd doesnt drink) boys partying etc...

If he keeps doing this- there is no question...10000000% he will go broke ....and we will see him on 30 by 30 when he is 52 years old

Hey- it's his life and who are we too judge- living a sick life, living super large, partying, woman, cars, jets, houses, gambling, you name it- he does it L-A-R-G-E!!! I simply will have no sympathy when he cant scratch two quarters together when he files Chapter 13 or & BK in 10-20 years. If he "WAS" smart- he would take a fraction of what he has and give it so someone who cant give it back to him- so he can provide for his kids and 3 square meals a day when he is 65! Just my honest and humble opinion- he is the best pound for pound fighter in my generation- so not hating!

maybe the line he got was -104
I never believe this stuff one way or the other but maybe that was his winnings from his gambling bankroll this year and he's playing with house money :mj07:

Zamo, that was sorta my point but because I didn't know EXACTLY what he made per fight or punch thrown, and I guess because I am a bama fan,I get blasted,:scared and I was only off by 44 million dollars. That shows you how much I follow boxing.
