A couple of teen boys. Then he still had it out by his side when he turned his attention back on his victim. Once he had another handful of the 14 year old's hair, he finally holstered it. Let me be clear, the racial connotations of his actions are not nearly as much of a concern to me as the egregious abuse of his power and the assault that he clearly committed. He pulled his gun, who did he point it at?
Weasie,
I respect your opinion and your presence on here. You're by far one of my favorite posters. All I'll say is I had nothing to do with his career being ruined, he did that all in his own. The point I feel you are missing is that the entire altercation and ensuing melee was started by a white resident shooting racial slurs. You keep insisting that he was doing his job when in fact he was not. His "job" was to answer a 911 call concerning am altercation at a pool. He decided to round up the black kids rather than investigate the only actual crime committed. Had he done that, used his training, and simply followed the mantra of his position to protect and serve, much like the other officers present were doing, he would still have a job. He brutally body slammed a 14 year old girl and then grabbed get by the hair and did it again while the girl cried for her mother in fear. He pulled a gun on teens that were doing nothing more than what he was charged to do when he took the oath, protect and serve. That mantra encompasses all of society, including mouthy teenagers, even the black ones.
What I don't understand is your position that the girl basically got what she got because she didn't follow the rules, yet you completely dismiss the undeniable fact that he didn't follow the rules of his profession and not only is he the adult but he's a professional peace keeper. Be should have chosen a career be was more suited for if he couldn't control his temper.
I think Mr Gardenweas sums it up pretty well.o.k... .....we`ve been here a long time together and I try and give everyone the courtesy of a response ..last comment:...
we`re not gonna see eye to eye on this...your premise that the cop was there to assault "black youths" is refuted by at least one black neighbor who was there......as much as the media or the naacp want to paint this as a racial issue, that`s not an issue that I cede.....I don`t buy that the cop was seeking out black youths to abuse....he was trying to control an out-of-control scene replete with fights and vandalism...it was chaotic...the people involved weren`t obeying his commands and as I said previously, good intentions just won`t get it done with people who are high on pot, drink and who knows what else.........residents pay serious money to maintain these areas(right jack:0074) ...it`s their private property..there are rules.......they don?t want to see it torn apart with wild parties and mayhem.... they get to decide how it is used....shockingly, some people want to live in areas where they can have calm, civil gatherings that include small children and exclude loud music, fighting, alcohol and drugs.......
there were "numerous" calls from neighbors pleading for police assistance.......the cop in question was the first on the scene and was there by himself for a while trying to settle things down...he couldn`t handle it himself...he had to call for back-up....
maybe he was too rough with the girl(I don`t think it warranted death threats against the man`s family..that`s ludicrous and those that are twittering that crap should be dealt with)...but she didn`t comply when he told her to leave 3 times...and obviously wasn`t complying when he was trying to put the plastic retraints on her(while having kids come at him from the right and left)....if she had allowed him to restrain her,we might not be here discussing this....
I don`t know what alternative he had...he could have just gotten back in his cruiser and left...maybe he should have done what was done in Baltimore(let em loose on the neighborhood until they became bored)....but that wouldn`t exactly be fair to the taxpayers in the community who called for police assistance in the first place...
this past weekend`s events(the concert in new jersey).....the indiscriminate violence in Baltimore, detroit,Chicago, new York.....people(youth in particular...white,black,brown and purple) have no respect for authority(personally,i blame the parents,or lack thereof).......and the powers that be(in this case the police chief... and the politicians) are being intimidated and aren`t willing to back their people when things get dicey....the police,in turn, are becoming more reticent to actually do what needs to be done because they know they`ll get thrown under the bus once the media and the sjw`s start ratcheting the pressure(that`s not just my opinion..see baltimore)........
I would suggest to anyone on this board that has teenagers but has a healthy dislike for authority and imparts that to their kids......swallow your pride and tell your kids to do what the cops tell them to do and sort it all out later....sometimes things spiral out of control and you don`t always get a second chance.... it`s not worth it to make a point........
please feel free to take the last word.....I`m out.....
II have a bunch of beer to drink before this basketball game comes to an end\\

Cheers Weasie, I appreciate the response brother.
wth is going on with stephon curry...he`s the best jump shooter I`ve seen since rick mount....can`t throw it in the ocean....
He doesn't win six championships and revolutionize the game. Before Jordan there was a belief that you couldn't win a championship without a strong center
with Love and Irving out there is not 2 players on the Cavs lineup that would start for any other team :0corn
