Early game today

Memphis (-4) Vs South Florida

South Florida must defeat Memphis and Pittsburgh to become bowl eligible. But to do that they have to improve on defense which allowed a 577 yards to the Cincinnati Bearcats

Memphis offense has scored 43 touchdowns while their defense has given up 37. USF offense has scored 27 touchdowns and given up 35.

USF needs this game to be bowl eliglbe but I think Memphis will be too much for them and believe it or not - see a DD win for Memphis.

My Pick: Memphis -4

Your thoughts and Opinions are appreciated.

GOOD LUCK!

I agree that memhis covers, but what about the 1st half over? I think it is 32.5 or 33.5?
Also my book has a bet for total pts scored by Memphis which i believe is 34.5...any thoughts?

I may be off on the numbers a bit.

Thanks Blackman - good luck to you too.

Irish - I am the LAST person to ask on totals. Actually I might be the first because I am the BEST person to fade on totals. I like the UNDER in the game and half. I see the USF offense getting "shut down" (to some degree). That is why I'll be on Memphis.

I thought about the over as well but passed, just because USF might not want to make this a shootout since they can't match the firepower of Memphis. Over makes sense, but I could aslo see USF trying to slow the pace.

I like South Florida in this one.

Generally like betting on home teams to begin with but more so here as Memphis has not been great shakes on the road this year and were darn lucky to hang on for a win on the road last week against EC after blowing a 20+ point lead. South Fla btw destroyed EC at home just two weeks ago. The Bulls were also first half competitive against mighty Cincy on the road last week while 4 weeks back Memphis was hammered and never in the game against the Bearcats.

I was on Memphis at home two weeks back against So Miss (as a 6+ point fav) and they played a pretty uninspired game at home, were down at the half and had to rally late to pull out a win but ATS loss. Last week raises a lot of questions in my mind about the state of this team. Frankly I think they peaked at Louisville

Just have no faith in this team to come up big with any of my money on the line. South Fla is playing for bowl eligibility at home and I think they make this one competitive. I will be on the Bulls plus the points for the 1H. Good luck.
