I like Molitor.

Ive only seen some CC clips on youtube: that man has LONG arms, and a ridiculous reach. But either his opponent had strong chins, or he doesnt punch as hard as it looks, because sometiems I would marvel at the punches he landed, while the oppionent took it fine. He punches from odd angles, leaves him chin wide open, and is pretty fast. But he glaringly telegraphs his punches and winds up, the few clips I've seen were against opponent who basically stood in front of him and tried to outfight him. Molitor won't do that.

The issue here will be whether Molitor can get out on time. If he is one step too slow he will be caught at the end of CC's punches. Molitor has a strong chin and will, but anybody can fall. I suspect Molitor will be more fluid and lateral than CC's opponents, but the danger is to be caught at the very end of a long man's punch, the absolute snap at the end. Those hurt like a mofo.

Does CC struggle to make weight? This figures to go 12 and involve a lot of punches thrown, he'll probably spend the fight attacking air. Stamina is a big issue.

ppl are going to think im crazy, but if I can get Molitor KO +400ish, I'm taking it. CC is there to be hit, Molitor is precise with underrated power.

Molitor is -175 at a few books. Im waiting for Pinnacle to open, if I can -150 i'll take it.

I grabbed Molitor at -180

not thrilled with the price, but I think he will win this fight

NJ, Caballero has a history of struggling to make weight....he is gigantic for 122...

the weigh-in today should be interesting....

nothing on Vera-Kirkland yet? very curious to see where that line starts....

Edit: just saw it.....Kirkland -475.....was hoping Vera would be a bigger dog....

Good point about Kirk-Vera. You can't play Kirkland b/c there are too many questions, but the dog line of Vera isn't high enough either to justify a play. I was hoping for +600 with a KO prop of +800. Dang, I was looking forward to it.

you liking molitor a tad,wee?...

the guy must be pretty good considering that caballero seems to fair pretty well on the road..

i`m anxious to see this fight...
Yes Garden, I am liking Molitor a tad but not at those prices.

Molitor is quick, precise with great stamina and as NJ has said, underrated power.

CC is good but I have seen him struggle with guys who do not have half Molitor's skill set.

There are a lot of people on the boards saying CC will win but none of the Bastards seem to be putting money on it as the odds keep getting worse. :mj07:

I am hearing that because this fight is in Sunny Ontario (Fuk this snow  ), there will be a same day weigh in.
That does not bode well for CC.

same day weigh in?....is that some canadian thing?....

isn`t that dangerous for the fighters?...

thats bad,imo....hate to see someone get in there totally dehydrated and get seriously hurt...

if it`s being done to provide molitor an advantage,i`d say it`s pretty short-sighted.... .

It's an Ontario thing.

I have never heard of it until now but I guess we are a backward province. :mj07:

the panamanian made weight: (per fightnews.com):

IBF champion Steve Molitor 121.6 and Celestino Caballero 121.6 both made weight for their historic 122lb unification showdown on Friday in Rama, Ontario. SHOWTIME will televise at 11PM ET/PT.

dang Molitor isn't budging from -175, Ill have to settle for it.

Small play on Molitor KO +550. I might be letting favouritism cloud my judgement, be forewarned, but I think Molitor hits with more power than his record suggests.

Well, you are not clouding my judgement NJ and I have the same bet.

Molitor ITD. He can be a precise, hurting puncher.

Good luck to us :toast:
