Seattle let us down. Guardado fell behind Loretta 2-0. He didn't want to walk him, and at the same time, move Youkilis to second with Ortiz on deck. Therefore, he grooved a fastball down the heart of the plate and paid the price. What are you going to do? It was a good play, just not the correct one. Let's get it back tonight!

PITTSBURGH +135
Risking $1,000 to win $1,350

Huge series for the Rats at home. The Cards could care less about lowly Pittsburgh. Guess who will bring more energy into this contest? St. Louis is not playing its best ball right now, and if Pittsburgh is going to win a game in this series, it might happen with Jason Marquis on the mound. You never know which Jason is going to show up.

ATLANTA +190
Risking $500 to win $950

The Braves own the Mets. They have won 11 of the last 15 meetings. Pedro should've lost his last start. The Nats let him off the hook.

Wise, hope ya don't mind me coming into your thread ..just wanted to pass along a little info.

I don't want to raise a stink here or even remotely sound like a know it all.
Please take this w/ the "providing info in good will" with which it is given.

Go to any of the sites that provide the closing lines and final scores for games over the last several days and see the results of dog to fav. cover...Keep in mind that a closing line of pkem is just that...At pinny your looking at what a 6-8 dollar diff. in a pkem.

Feel free to correct #'s if incorrect

The dogs are barking...
Favs yesterday 9-6
Favs Sat......... 9-6
Favs Fri. 7-6 [2 pkem]*
Favs Thurs. 5-9 [1 pkem*
Favs Wed. 7-7 [1 postponed
----------
last 5 days Favs 37 wins
Dogs34 wins

3 pkems ...1 washout

* in an 8 cent house your looking at -1.02/-1.06
** keep in mind that if your going to mix dogs in w/your selections and or play doggies and [generally] only dogies ya gotta have at least 3 or 4 books to play out of..[who by the way come w/ a recommendation from MadJacks who has proven to pay qiuckly..and provide at least an above average cust. service dept.

case in point

Moneyline

Atlanta:/mets
+195 J Sosa {Book #1] -220 N Y (N): P Martinez

book #2
Braves Money Line for +185 J. Sosa must start P. Martinez must start

10.00 diff over the course of even 500 wagers durning a 162 season schedule can alter the [ROI]in my eyes big time[example is slightly more than 3 plays a posted board selection day and most "Action Junkies would "Jones" w/ only 3 bases play in the fire.

There is of course a certain amount of homework those goes w/the bases..day/night..home/away..batter/pitcher matchups..ump tendencies ...hell the list goes on and on.

But w/ the small sampling of the last 5 days a DOGGIE player has had opportunity.

A doggie player staying around the +125 to +150 can show a nice little profit by picking dogs correctly 50% thru the seaon.

Good Luck To You All...after following the board for many many years it has thus far been a joy to be a member and try to contribute.

Old School, I don't mind you coming in my thread, especially when you post valuable information like that. I couldn't agree more with what you said about shopping for lines. I do have an account at two offshore books, but most of my large wagers are placed with my local. I can lay up to $5,000 on a game with him. I am a dog player, and I have done quite well so far. Let's hope it continues!
