Here we go, 1st game 7 of the season and it seems really easy to me considering I watched all these games.. here are a few points the way I see it.

1 - Montreal has outplayed Boston in every game except game 1. Boston got two games in overtime and were lucky to tie to games before overtime to even get there in the first place

2 - Goaltending is very important in the playoffs and with all the pressures of game 7, it is even more important! Which team do you think has the better goalie?? Raycroft has not been proven at ALL! He is not controlling the play beside his net and is stopping nothing. Theodore on the other hand has awaken and playing better. He is a goalie who has confidence and so does his team. I never liked Montreal when this series started because I though Boston was just too big and would overpower the Habs.. I was wrong! Boston is hitting but so is Montreal. Goalie wise, its Easy to like Montreal

3- Heart. The big factor of Hockey especially during the playoffs. Montreal has come back from 3-1 to get to a 3-3 tie with sheer momentum, hard work and patience. They are not taking pentalities which hurt them and are taking advantage of their speed. Overall, Boston has lost there heart and can not regain it. The first period will be critical for Boston. IMO, if it is 0-0 going into the Second, Montreal will take it!!

4- Discipline. One of my favourites. I play hockey and liek to play hard. My emotions hurt me sometimes cause I get too physcial and start taking dumb pentalities like boarding and elbowing and plain old dumbass pentalities. this is where Boston is at. They are by far bigger overal than Montreal. Rather than controlling themselves they are going out and trying to injure people. This is not doing them any good especially since MOntreal is scoring on their PP. Overall, Montreal will be in a position to win because of Boston's dumb penalities.

5 - Speed! Montreal is faster minus maybe Samsanov/Nylander line which seems to be the only reason Boston has done good this series. Montreal is faster to the puck and playing with an edge. NO WAY Boston can compete in this department!..

Overall, its HABS all the way. The +140 is just a bonus. NO WAY I would take Boston at -160, or for even a PK'em anyways.

The big thing which makes Montreal a winner IMO. Theodore!

GO HABS GO
Habs +140 (3 units)

Well done...

Well done...

Chuck...

I had a very similar take on the game, and I think the HABS can do well vs. Tampa Bay too...nice !!!

Your call on the first period was right on ... I actually made only one bet on the game and that was the game would be tied after the first period ...

I am liking Vancouver as I cant see two lower seeds winning a game 7 on the same night - that is not exactly the way to cap a game, but comes from years of watching this game...
