You are way off base. The example you used is entirely different. There is some merit in looking at one team's performance (i.e. the Suns) in a particular situation because it involves the same players, coach, stadium, etc. over a period of time. There is a basis to conclude that the results of all Suns games on TNT are somewhat related. Even at that, the 17 game streak is likely a coincidence and you are attempting to interpret meaning out of a random pattern across a small sample size. As mentioned above, these are rarely trends that hold up over time and are likely long-term losing propositions. But, at the very least, there may be *some* merit to them from a handicapping perspective.
In terms of a team's winning or losing streak, there is also some merit to that as it is reasonable to conclude that a team's recent performance may be a predictor of their future short-term performance.
However, the "trend" or "system" proposed in this thread has no logical basis and any critically thinking individual should question how the results of two games on different nights between different teams are at all related.
Yes, it has performed well this year, but I can flip a coin a thousand times and it is very likely that at some point I will see 20 heads in a row... At which point, no sane individual would conclude that a heads is any more likely than a tails on the next flip.
Yes maybe I went a bit nuts on this thread, but I'm tired of people presenting their meaningless systems and everyone scrambling to buy the "magic beans"...
