I've got family around the Richmond Va area... I might like the east coach beach/golf life! as long as hurricane don't flood me out.. I don't mind rain, but when it's 3 ft deep in the living room I gotta draw the line lol...
Tell me some of the spots that are worthy of consideration old man, I can see myself leaving here someday.. we only got so much time so why not see some other nice spots... worth thinking on anyhow!

Hey LOB--life is pretty nice here in Maryland-- we are pretty much immune from serious quakes, tornadoes, and hurricanes. Yes, there have been tornadoes and hurricane/trop storm remnants but few and far between and not really a concern unless you are living at the beach or along the Bay. Too mountainous/hilly for any serious tornadoes. We might get an F1 every couple of years that knocks down trees or sheds. Otherwise, MD is sort of America in miniature--much like VA--only a day's drive between beautiful beaches and Blue Ridge mountains with the Chesapeake Bay in between. We live in rural area north of Baltimore. Peaceful, quiet, and gorgeous. Rolling hills and horse country. Only thing about Richmond area is the traffic. But back toward I-81 is beautiful!
