"I consider myself something of a legend in MMA and I go out there and ... I see Polish guys screaming at and yelling his name. Fortunately the fight went the way I wanted it to go. ... He went a minute 15 seconds longer than I thought he was going to."

Tim Sylvia per Sherdog.

Legend. Good grief.

Legend might be pushing it, but he has to be considered a highly respected guy.
Two time UFC champion is nothing to laugh at.
Saying he is back is comical unless he drops to the real weight of 265 and starts beating people.
Super HW is a joke.

And he said something of a legend, not a legend which is not exactly wrong by any means.

the thing about his weight is this. In comparison to other heavyweights and their height to weight ratio, he's not that far off. He's just always looked so frikkin' soft!! 305 wouldn't be a problem if he looked toned like Carwin or Arlovski or any number of MMA fighters. He just needs to run about 5 miles a day.

he becomes a legend when ray mercer stops fedor...lol

yeah, the legend is sloppy ..you could pull the roll around his waist up over his head....

reminds me of the old joke.."what do you call the loose skin around a vagina?"....

/"a woman"... ...:0005

I agree Sylvia is not a legend but if the UFC is the top league bar none then what does being the two time champion mean?

Sylvia loss to Mercer was bad, very bad, but Mercer did catch him and if you watched Mercer box then you know the power he can generate.
Add in lighter gloves and connecting clean=KO.
Ask some of the best what solid connecting punch can do. Serra did it to GSP just not quickly.

It happens.

Why am I defending a fat guy who can't make 265 anymore. :142smilie
