We got "the prick rankings" and now it is time for the most over-rated rankings. I am not saying these guys suck, but merely saying they are over-rated.

2. Mauricio Rua

3. Paulo Filho

4. Karo Parisyan

5. Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic

6. Matt Hamill

7. C.B. Dollaway

"the bunker"
seriously disagree with 10....shields may be the best wrestler in mma...period...

disagree with 6 and 7...i don`t think dollaway`s been around long enough to be overrated...and hamill`s come a long way...

and 9)gomi WAS a fantastic striker...don`t know anymore...probably past his best days....

parisyan`s having mental problems...

i honestly think that mir`s way overrated...he caught an incredibly green lesnar in a lucky sub after getting manhandled......and beat nogueira at a a time when he was obviously shot....

the luckiest mofo in mma...

Hey it is my list bud....don't knock it:mj07:

Shields is very good don't get me wrong, just don't think he's top 5 in division like most people think that's all.

Also, Matt has come a long way but remember when he fought Franklin he got toyed with. The guy is good and a great story but I think he's getting more props then he deserves that's all.

Karo stinks, I never thought he was really that good in the first place, enough said.

Aoki clear number 1 though, this dude gets so much hype and if he were in UFC he wouldn't even be top 5 in the UFC. Nobody more hyped in MMA then Aoki:SIB

And just for GW I will take out Shields and replace with Gilbert Melendez:kiss:

Well I fully expected to come into this thread and see the name Kimbo somewhere.
Glad to see he has earned your respect.

Where in the hell is Ryan Ford on this list??? :mj07:

And NO WAY in hell is Overeem overrated as he is getting little pub for the run he is on and is flying under the radar these days.
Not saying he is great or anything, but who is hyping him of late??

I think your # 8 Alistair Overeem shouldnt be on that list.

Overeem might be the best 1 round fighter in MMA..capable of beating anyone till he gasses.

I dont think he bleongs on that list.

Kimbo ...if he is actually considered an MMA fighter....should be #1 followed by Allessio Sakara.

Suckara has been over rated since the day they touted him as a WBC World Champion..which was embarrassing to every boxer that put on gloves.

And Cheick Kongo should be top 5 without a doubt. Any one dimensional fighter in 2009 belongs on that list. Kongo's Greco skills he was touted for are/were non existent. And again an embarrassment to any wrestler that stepped on a wrestling mat competitively.

My TOP 10 OVERRATED IN NO ORDER:
Diaz brothers (entertaining fighters and that is all and they are pricks)
Rua brothers (tire in minutes but still get huge hype with no quality wins of late)
Ryan Ford (hyped as next possible big thing and lost twice to so-so Pat Healy)
Shinya Aoki (he is good but is hyped as great)
Michael Bisping (beat somebody)
CB Dollaway (what has he done to get on cards??)
Cro Cop (was a rock, now WAY past prime but still hyped as top notch)
Denis Kang (UFC wants him to be what he once was,not sure he is and he never really beat a ton of great talent anyway)

Odessa, I agree with ya about Allessio Sakara, good pick there:SIB And I was very close about putting Kongo on the rankings.

kegray....good call on the Diaz brothers, although I do think Nate isn't over-rated, but both are such pricks you gotta put em both on the list:)

And if Kang doesn't win in Montreal he won't be over-rated any longer, why because I'll kill him that's why:142smilie

Michael Bisping (beat somebody)

:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

I can only hope Henderson has a good training camp and can maintain his wind through the 3rd round when they fight. If so, and if he comes with the same determination he did against Franklin.... Bisping could be in for a rude awakening.

Still, odds on Bisping are pretty good knowing that Dan's conditioning isn't always top notch and Bisping's conditioning is his biggest strength. (Dan looked really tired during the 3rd round against Franklin AND he was exhausted after his short fight w/ Silva)

Always a chance Bisping can jab his way to another victory.

Really shocked that Clay Guida has not been mentioned in this thread.

I enjoy watching that tazmanian devil, spastic fecker, too, but he is WAY over-rated!

Nobody questions that Bisping is good but the question is just how good like you said.
He throws jabs to no end and needs beat Hendo and start fighting guys equal to or better to back up the hype.

Odessa makes 2 good points only to say Kimbo is not considered an MMA fighter. You better be careful next time you walk into or out of a Red Lobster.
Kickserv will get that.

Not sure Guida is that overrated. Boring to watch these days sure, but overrated.

He never gets top billing type fights and has wins over Josh Thomson,Nate Diaz, and Mac Danzig. Not too bad even though he is boring which I may have mentioned.:bed:

He wonders why people give him shit on the internet forums, and that's why.... his record is like a who's who of MMA scrubs. And everybody and their grandma knows he didn't beat Hammill -- as long as "aggression" remains a key scoring point for UFC judges, then how can backpedaling the whole fight lead to a win. :mj07:

Here is his most recent quote:

?I?m looking forward to fighting Dan. It?s going to be a tough fight. I?ve got a lot of respect for him, but I?m looking forward to working my way up, and I?m ready for the challenge. I already consider myself to be top 10. I think it?s crazy if you don?t.?

? The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 9 coach of Team UK, Michael Bisping, reminds fans in an ESPN.com interview that he?s not just good ? he?s top 10 good. ?The Count? will face opposing coach Dan Henderson at UFC 100 on July 11, but until then must settle for his on-air feud with the former PRIDE and Greco-Roman wrestling star. Is Bisping heir to the throne? Or will he fall flat against one of the legends of the sport? Time will tell.

i disagree with a lot of stuff in here. U can't say Bisping is overrated when he took Rashard the distance. I use to think he was overrated but not anymore. Raw as for Henderson tiring. I must have missed that and sure as heck didn't see him gas against Silva. He went a hard five with Rampage. something those Rua brothers would dream about.

Off the top of my head it would be
1. Baroni
2. Vera
3. Rua brothers
5. Colture.......:scared :scared
6. Little Evil
7. Uri Faber
8. Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic
9. Paulo Filho
10..oH and the biggest one Machida
