I'm not comparing movies or only posting award winning movies, I posted a movie that entertained me. I'll give it an 8 on entertainment value alone. And I don't give out 8's very easily.

Geez, take a chill.

During the quarantine, my wife and I reviewed a huge number of films and TV series. Of course, we tried to choose what was interesting for the two of us to watch, but we also made a compromise, so I watched what I was interested in and watched what my wife liked. Back on Black Friday, we bought ourselves a Christmas present - Yamaha Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer. The sound of films now just blows the brain - the sound is so cool. Here is a description of our sound system, if you are also interested in purchasing such a device for your home.

30 coins. Nice 8-episode spanish mystery/horror tv-series that balances itself well between horror and not taking it too seriously. Quite brutal at the times. Superhot Megan Montaner and rest of the crew does good job. (english dub available if you don't want to listen spanish and read subs).

Stand, six episodes so far. A bit lame King tv-series but no problems watching it through.

Is Vikings any good, looks like all seasons are now out ?

Ha ha! I'll give you that.:lol::lol::lol:

that scene had potential to be really good one.

obviously it's also what director accepts/wants so i'm not blaming actor only.

:0008

some oldies from my br collection:

Until the end of the world (Bis ans Ende der Welt, 287min director's cut ) Win Wender's massive almost five hour movie about near future and search of device that records dreams. Just see it, it's worth it.

Shorter versions are crap, do not watch those.

Dark city, another altime favorite of mine. "A man struggles with memories of his past, which include a wife he cannot remember and a nightmarish world no one else ever seems to wake up from."

Event Horizon, good space horror piece with pretty simple plot: "A rescue crew investigates a spaceship that disappeared into a black hole and has now returned...with someone or something new on-board."

Event Horizon is great. I have watched it many times.

Dark City freaked me out. Reminded me of Jacob's Ladder a little.

Just searched for Until The End....couldn't find it on Google Play, my main source of downloading movies. I'll check other sites. Thanks for the recommendation.

^you are welcome, i doubt you find it from streaming services. long cut is getting rare even in dvd/br.
i recommend german br version, it has english subtitles when they don't speak english.

story takes these people around the globe and locals speak their own languages as does some of the main character -> french in France, german in Germany etc.

edit: Criterion has new restoration for br
