Watched 4 movies yesterday that I haven't seen since they were at the theater, 30-40 years ago.

Posted in order of the ones I liked best.

The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) The bridges brothers and the beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer. She was incredible in this movie. Very entertaining. 8/10

The Color Of Money (1986) Paul Newman and Tom Cruise pool sharks. Really good. 8/10

The Godfather 3 (1990) Not nearly as good as 1 and 2 but I give it a good rating because of the acting and overall quality. 8/10

The Great Santini (1979) Strict military family with dad played by Robert Duvall. Another good one. 7/10

Pet sematary (1989)
One of the true horror classics. Story telling is like a speeding truck on a small village road. What could go wrong ? Well, family dynamics for sure.

Sicario 2 - tries hard but fails even with Del Toro and Brolin

Hereditary - boring
The killing of the sacred deer - boring

It rewatched this before II, ****/5. One of the best modern horror movies.
It II, this was lame and quite disappointing CGI-crap

tv:
Finished Devs, after a good start it just gets.... boring.

Started Penny Dreadful LA, just one episode so far. Wasn't very promising start.

Waco
(2018) mini tv-series. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6040674/
Amazing cast and acting, so fuked up story. I remember when it was on news as "another suicide cult" or something like that.

2nd season of Doom patrol should be coming soon. If you like a bit different "superhero" series, here is one.

I have lately started many movies and series from netflix/HBO and watched 15mins and... meh.
I need to read a book or two...

First man - movie about Neil Armstrong, pretty good. Rocket scenes were well made.

Jojo Rabbit - nazi movie for whole family ? yep, here is one (PG-13). Touching and funny and sad and kind of hopeful movie about naziera in Germany. Brilliant cast.

Gemini man - decent action movie that Will Smith didn't manage to fuck up, not much product placement for WS movie.

War of the Worlds - english tv-series sucked big time so i watched this Tom Cruise movie that i haven't seen yet. Okeyish movie, but about that WotW story, feeling from the ending of the story is like writer just decided that fuck this: the end.

tv:

Snowpiercer - utter crap so far and it isn't going to be any better

"Penny Dreadfull" City of angels - even worse than SP

Space Force - funny enough to binge this 25min/episode serie

I watched Dirty Harry while a go, still brilliant movie. Just like Bullit, good imaginery of the times and how things worked back then. Both have racism and equality handled x 100 better than any new i rub this blgtxyz+ on your face movie/series.

One common thing with these movies is that they are remembered from one scene and rest of the movie is forgotten. Should have been other way around.
