Kaaza a part of Sharman Networks I believe bought out Morpheus. Kaaza is very good IMO. You can download music, videos, pix software. It also lets you filter out bogus files and files that likely contain viruses. That is what I currently use and it is great so far...

Kaza- good for video, films, (songs I guess)

had a friend ( I do not download songs or anything ) caught a virus downloading NHL 2002, after two months is still having trouble, so just be careful.

www.kazaa.com

U have to download a bit first, but no big deal.

U can download music, video clips (the Randy Johnson fastball puffing the dove from 2001 Spring Training is on there along with thousands of others), and games. I downloaded a Nintendo program with 600 games. They are a blast and bring back the memories. There's also all kinds of software u can get as well. U will love the site.

All of the items listed are great to add another to the list www.audiogalaxy.com is pretty good too. I use Morpheus and have used bearshare, when I can't find a tune on Morpheus, audiogalaxy usually has it.

Just a FYI
I used Kazaa for awile and they are very good
Awile ago someone posted the spyware download, so I downloaded it and delted my spy files. Problem was one of them mustve been connected to Kazaa because now I cant get my Kazaa to work. If I wanted to I guess I could download Kazaa again and just be careful not to erase the spy file connected to Kazaa.

For those of you planning on downloading adware to get rid of spyware, i suggest you read the negative reviews and pitfalls about this software. Granted, there are a lot more positive reviews, than negative, but read the negatives here:
http://download.com.com/3302-2094-9643459.html?ob=0&pn=1&fb=2

It might scare you, just like it scared me away from downloading this software. If it screws my computer, I don't have the knowledge to fix it, but just my opinion.

Thanks for all the info guys!!

HOLD ON EVERYBODY!!!!

HOLD ON EVERYBODY!!!!

Do not get Kazaa! The spyware will slow your computer to a crawl! If you remove the spyware using something like Lavasofts "adaware" (a free spyware removal program) Kazaa will no longer work! (Its programed this way to keep the revenue stream coming)

But I have a solution!!

go to

www.kazaalite.com

The makers of this site have taken kazaa and removed all the spyware components. It looks, and acts just like Kazaa without all of the crap!

As far as adaware, I've had no problems. But If your afraid to use Adaware you should be TERRIFED by Kazaa!!

Have fun!!!

ryson or anybody else using audiogalaxy, does it still work? I used to use it but the last month or so I can't get to their site when I type it in and I can't get the software to connect. I am on a network and not sure if I'm being blocked or something.

I have used Kazaa for a while now and am happy with it. I downloaded Ad-aware a while back and had the same problem, it deleted needed files for Kazaa. If I download Kazaa lite will I still be able to use my files I downloaded? Should I delete Kazaa before or after I download Kazaa lite? Thaks for help!! :)

P.S. Go Bruins!!!!!!!! :D

Yes you can retain all your files. Just for safe keeping create a new folder and move all of you existing songs there. Then once you delete the old kazaa and install kazaa light (It will make a new "My Shared Folder") just move your old songs to that folder.

BTW - The "My shared folder" on you desktop is only a link. the actual folder is in the Kazaa directory under "Program files"
