Kazaa lite does update! But you don't have to worry about it be rendered useless.
1. They do indeed upgrade their versions along with regular Kazaa.
2. It doesn't really matter. Regular Kazaa forces you to upgrade, kazaa lite does not. It would take a major change in the way that the songs are shared across the net for it not to work. in other words it ain't gonna happen in the near future (Hell Kazaa is under attack by the lawyers, so anything like this can go quickly.
3. Remember all you non-computer types, that these music files work with any player. You don;t need Kazaa(lite) to ply these. They are MP3's which work just about anywhere. Including the new generation car stereos.
4. Trust me, if you using Kazaa, several companies are keeping track of every site you visit, and all of your other surfing habits. Not to mention slowing you down as these programs call home to dump the data.
5. Morpeus is now just like Kazaa! Avoid.
6. Cnet has removed Kazaa from their download section reportedly becuase of Kazaa's plans to use your internet connection and bandwidth to send ads. I suggest everyone go to CNET's download.com and read up on all of these programs.
There is absolutely no reason to use Kazaa over Kazaalite!
Something about a horse and water comes to mind.................
Good luck All
