Well, if she was begging him to come up there...that just spells trouble. You don't get two people in the same place who are very attracted to each other, and who have already somewhat acted on it, without there being trouble. If he's truly intent on not going any further with it, the only way to make sure that happens is to not put himself into such a situation. I dont think she was beggin him to come up there, just pleading for him to not stop coming to the bar.

She told him see likes their connection & attraction & that she will just have to adjust to the situation & deal with & she said she would in time.

To me in a way it really seems like she might be the trouble, moreso than him, but she is just letting it settle for right now. I think he is in way over his head.

Distraught is when something bad happens to you. What the hell bad happened to him? Wanting to cheat on your 3-year relationship does not qualify a person as being distraught.

If my friend kept bugging me about this situation I would tell him to either break up with the relationship and go for the bartender or drop the whole idea and stick with the first one. But definitely don't cheat on anyone.

I don't think I could handle that. I'd be telling him not to drag me into his little drama-fest. People in those situations never pay attention to advice you give them anyway. They won't shut up about their 'frazzled' situation, but they also don't listen to advice. It's like they just love to let you know that they have a choice of multiple women.
