Finding out it hadn't reached the brain had to be an enormous relief. I'm sure the road to recovery will be a struggle at times, but that is still very, very good news. I hope his further examinations continue to produce positive news.

thanks for the words and thanks for the cards. i talked to my father earlier and he got 15 more cards today bringing the total up near 100 so far. he's loving it and it does make him feel better. he doesn't know most of the people sending but it sure perks his spirits up.
he was reading one to me and started filling up with tears (RAYMOND). tears of happiness.
