maybe uga was better than lsu before yesterdays games. they didnt win their conference nor their own division, they deserve to get leapfrogged by the team that won the SEC. uga finished 3rd in the sec

And Kansas got a BCS over Mizz by doing what? Sitting at home with Georgia....

How do you vote one way for one team (LSU),then vote the otherway (Kansas).....

There's no reason to vote a team #1 going into the Conference Championship game, then drop them out of the BCS picture and replace them with a team they just beat the week before...Mizz got hosed bad!:nono:

I don't think Sc deserves to go with that loss to stanford I do think you could take the top 6 and throw them in a hat to pick the winner. Playoff anyone:shrug:

It's my understanding, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong.. but all the BCS guarantees is a #1 vs #2 matchup. After that, the Rose, Sugar, Fiesta and Orange Bowls get their picks. The Orange picked Kansas over Mizzou and I would like to know why they did. Also, how is Arizona State not in the equation somewhere? I would think you take either of those teams as opposed to a 3 loss Big Ten team.

they won the SEC yesterday, against a team who smashed uga...who did uga play yesterday?

Well, nobody. But they did play Georgia Tech a week ago. Who did Ohio State play yesterday? Nobody. How about a week ago? Oh yeah, nobody. I'm not saying Georgia has any better argument than any of these other teams, but to try to make a cogent argument for any team is ridiculous. I do know one thing- no matter who wins the national championship, OSU has no business playing in that game. They loaded their OOC schedule with a bunch of cupcakes, and even their conference schedule wasn't close to Georgia's. Then they simply played a bunch of inferior teams (still managing to lose one), and waited for everyone else to lose and get out of their way. That is not the way a team should get into the championship game. It should be done by winning, not waiting for other teams to lose. The whole thing is completely screwed up. Then if they somehow beat LSU in a single game, they will pretend like the system is validated.

The Orange might have chose Kansas, but I assume it wasnt over Mizzu, but from a list of teams invited to the BCS party which didnt include Mizzu......

Still how the hell can you be ranked #1, loose your Conf. Champsip game and drop out of sight, then be replaced by a team you just beat the week before

Mizzou beat Illinois and Kansas and both go to Bcs ahead of them. What a Joke !! BCS is a joke.
Missouri would beat either Ohio St or LSU. Oklahoma would beat either of those teams also.
Oklahoma should be playing in national title game.
If Missouri team were wearing Ohio St, Lsu, or Usc uniforms people would be outraged. But because they haven't been a perennial power house they get no respect. SEC is overrated. I'm not saying that they are not a good conference but every year they are rated the best conference before one game is even played. Come on.
Ohio St offense is weak. LSU gives up 50 to Arkansas. It will be a weak national championship game. Period.

How do you know who would beat who??? LOL LSU gave up 50 in triple ovetime!! Missouri and OK gave up 50 nearly every week to high schools!! Get a clue If you think missouri or Kansas or any weak azz team needs to play for the marbles that says enough about your knowledge! how would Mizzou or Kansas fair in the SEC??? We wouldnt see them in the top 25 or 40 for that matter!!!

No, the Sooners did not. They never once gave up 50. They also never gave up 40. In fact, they only gave up 30 once, in the first meeting to Missouri, a 41-31 win. And in that game, the final score, a backdoor cover TD (I had Missour +10.5 and was watching), came in the final seconds.

And while we're on the subject...

Missouri never once gave up 50 points, either. Gave up 40 one time, in the aforementioned 41-31 loss to OU. And that was with a schedule that featured four games against BCS Bowl-bound opponents.

he doesn't seem to realize that he loses credibilty by making statements like he has made in this thread....at least the other sec supporters (cie, ronnie, taoist, etc) are more objective in their analysis....and btw, i have stated in other threads that i think the sec is the best conference this year....

Well actually ok gave up 31 to mizzou first meeting and 34 to tex tech so you made a mistake also! the point I was trying to make (OF COURSE THEY DIDNT GIVE UP 50 every week) Dumb statement on my part Sorry but what i meant was givin up: 21 to Tulsa, 27 to colorado, 21 to baylor Thats OK Next Mizzou:34 to illini,28 ole miss, 24 to western mich, 17 illini st, 41 to ok, 28 iowa st, 32 k st, 28 to kansas ALL IN REGULATION NOT triple overtime!!! They arent setting the world on fire with great DEFENSE!!

Notice several High schools in those stats above!! Alittle different than an SEC school with the best running back in the country and going triple overtime Dont all you sports gurus agree??? Oklahome defense is pretty good fast but couldnt stop power offenses!!

I might be wrong, but the Okie D looks like a mighty talented and agressive bunch. The frosh DE, I forget his name, looked like a physically gifted freak of nature last week. The speed at LB was very impressive as well. Were I a HC of a BCS-bound team, I would not want to play the Sooners right now.
