Notre Dame vs Alabama....was hoping for Georgia but I'll take it!
Here is my only problem with an 8-team playoff format. Alabama just beat Georgia in an absolute slug-fest to win the conference title and then both Georgia and Florida are equally 3 wins away from being national champions. What I mean is, this isn't basketball and it also isn't the NFL.
An 8-team playoff is letting in about 6% of teams so its hard to compare. I'd hate to see Alabama beat Georgia in December for the conference title and then see Georgia beat Alabama in the semi-finals or finals, etc. in January.
I'd much rather see conferences go back to 8-10 teams and the regular season champion be the champion and have an 8-team playoff. Believe me I know this aint gonna happen.
