Ok navy hasn't beat anyone good....However, someone has to win the games in their league right....If they could play in the big 10 or any of the other big time conferences they would but unfortunately they don't....

Here's why they crush CSU. My breakdown comes based on 1 game....The lose against Notre Dame University.

Yeah they lost against NDU 21-42 but they lost because of 1 quarter! Navy played them even in every other quarter. scoring 7 points in 3 quarters agianst a very good Notre Dame football team.

Navy entered the nation rushing at 282.6 yards a game, and rushed for 239 yards running on 58 attempts against the Irish.

Navy is playing against a team that is 6-5 in the MWEST....THE MWEST CMON

Holland will throw interceptions and Navy playing they're 1st ever bowl game will come hungry and ready to put a lot of pressure on Holland and this is where my largest point comes....

* Navy puts pressure on Holland and sacks him. Holland throws an interception or two and it kills this CSU teams chance of winning. The reason is because NAVY owns the clock on every team they play. They will rush and take CSU's deffense to the house. These mistakes will KILL CSU and Navy will come away with a win much higher than 21.

CSU is not a good team....And the way Navy moved the ball against Army CSU wouldn't be able to stop them if MOSES was on the Deffensive line.

This is mismatched all the way guys....Navy's Defense is not that bad.

By the way This is who Navy LOST TOO:

Maryland lost 20-23
Sep 10 Stanford Lost 38-41

Oct 29 @Rutgers Lost 21-31

Nov 12 @Notre Dame Lost 21-42

Notice any of those teams....In any bowls perhaps?

This is CSU's record:

Sep 3 @Colorado Lost 28-31
Sep 10 @Minnesota Lost 24-56
Sep 24 Nevada Won 42-21
Sep 29 Air Force Won 41-23
Oct 8 Utah Won 21-17
Oct 15 @BYU Lost 14-24
Oct 22 Wyoming Won 39-31
Oct 28 @New Mexico Won 35-25
Nov 5 @TCU Lost 6-33
Nov 12 San Diego St. Lost 10-30
Nov 19 @UNLV Won 31-27

Now lets talk about schedule STRENGTH or do we need to....I see 1 team that can hang with the teams that Navy lost too and that's Minnesota.

So my argument is yes Navy has the better schedule.

3 categories to look for in bowls:
1)schedule strength edge=Navy
2)record = Navy
3)offensive rushing and clock control =Navy

Now that that's cleared up....

I'll take Navy up to 7 THERE IS NO WAY THIS TEAM LOSES!!!!

Thanx Trollin....I just really feel like CSU won't be able to control this game at all.

Dice, I honestly don't think Nevada and BYU or SD ST. for that matter would stand a chance against a team like NDU or Rutgers or MD, or Stanford....people can put out all the projections they want, I think MWEST is very mediocre.....MAC teams would Crush MWEST teams...

you keep talking about notre dame, and stanford, and rutgers, and maryland.......guess what, navy lost to all of them.

look at the teams navy beat and then look at the team csu beat and tell me who beat the more impressive teams (and i use the word impressive loosely)

and btw...dont be fooled by that nd game....nd respects the hell out of navy and did not run the score up....they could have named their score if they really wanted to.

not saying that navy isnt the right play but i dont think its as much of a lock as you are making it out to be.....plus csu qb is not as bad as you think and the navy defense is a step down from the mwc (which is actually not a bad conf)

Are any of those 7 teams playing in this game?? .....IF you want to throw out teams, why haven't you tossed out Air Force? Navy had to score 20 second half pts to beat them with a last second field goal 27-24.....What did CSU do to Air Force who is a primarily run team? They played a well balanced game 42 rushes and 29 passes for 551 yards and a 41-23 score....dwarfs the 388 yds Navy put on them...

I'm just not seeing the steam roll you are

Somewhere in Corn Country
Colorado State wins and covers this game easily...

Could you refresh my memory on Navy's conference wins?
Oh, thats right..they are not a member of a conference...:mj07:

hey take it or leave it guys I'm trying to help....But then again everyone went against me when I said:

-Vady lock called the upset win against Tenn
-PSU lock no way they would lose to MSU
-Fresno St. lockNo way Fresno doesn't cover against USC
-Wisky lock no way WISKY loses to Hawii at the island
-Miami OH lock no way they lose to Ohio
-WVU lock no way WVU loses to South FL
-FSU lock no way VT scores a bunch of points on FSU

All of these, I have posted since the 2 months I've been on the board....

Yes I've been wrong in some games but I don't ever put them on the board as locks....I may say I like this team or not....There is a reason why I'm up +3000. Truly I'm trying to help because I love sports, and because I my self have lost many games especially when I first started out 3 years ago....I think if I would of knew of a board like this I would have done much better....I have taken the advice from all of you and appreciate it.

Also I listed the teams who Navy lost to because they are all high calibor teams...to say Navy doesn't play anyone of schedule strength is not true, I wanted to point that out.

Lastly, there is a reason why Navy got the AT LARGE BID...they don't give AT LARGE to some LOSER TEAM...

I hope everyone has a great Xmas and wins lots of bowl plays!

GL guys!

not too cause anyone confusion....so far in my eyes I have 2 locks...Navy and UCLA GL!

the reason navy got the at large bid is because the poinsettia bowl is in san diego, a big navy town, this being the first year of the bowl they need a large crowd......csu vs some loser from c-usa would have drawn 25k...now they will get 35k

:)

i dont follow your picks too closely but do recall you saying there was no way brett favre was going to lose on monday night vs the queens because his life had become shitty and this was his chance to show the world he wasnt going to be down

you sound like a kid who won a few bets recently and now thinks this is so easy......guess what....those people end up broke in a month.

yes I was wrong in that game....as far as my age iI'm old enough to drink and gamble... if you think that means I'm a kid that's fine, not in too much of in a rush to be 40.....And I've been around this game for 4 years now....

yes I was wrong about Farve...I'm not good at NFL capping....

Whatever you think of me has nothing to do with my pix and I'll say this again for you: winning is winning and you really can't deny that..

So with that said thanx for your advice we will see if my pick is right...but I will be sticking to my guns in saying 1000 on Navy and 1000 on UCLA...

good luck with your bowls gjn23....

For everyone interested in this game:

The public is on this at 89% as of today, Navy opened at -1 in vegas and at most sportsbooks Navy is at -2.5....the public is on CSU 11%

That is probably the worst thing you have against you. Interesting game to me - wouldn't take CSU because no way of knowing how they will show up. One thing about Navy you can be sure of - they will be ready. In some bowl games, that is enough.

Its time to get ready to sail to the bank...WITH NAVY THAT IS...

your arguments for west virginia and ucla carry some weight because at least theyve played some good teams. and wvirginia is a damn good football team. and ucla, aside from two debacles this year, has been very good. but what has navy done to earn a bowl bid besides represent the service academies?

navy has played 11 games this year. only 2 of those teams finished with a winning record. the fact that navy is even playing in the postseason shows there are way too many bowls.

Sit back and watch Gman...you're questions will be answered...

Unitl then read that line where Navy is ranked #1 in the rush and CSU that plays those hard games in the MWEST Rush deffense is #105
