Early leans (nothing solid) -

Orlando: - 3.5
Van Gundy will have hammered his point home after an abysmal performance against the Thunder.

Washington: + 6.5
Temporary salve perhaps from a less-than-optimal situation?

Houston: + 6.5
Are Dallas that good? Will Houston's spread-the-points offensive strategy and unquestionable hustle suffice?

Orlando/Charlotte: Over

Washington/Miami: Under

Yes it was a real ball buster last night so much promise and so little money left...1 and 4 and the one was a small play to the 4 losers....

No one has mention the Thunder yet. I really like them here, it is like the Freshman vs the Sophmores...

I think the OKC bring the Kings back to earth. OKC by 7. I like this better than the Over because i think OKC will play more defense and keep the Kings down....????

This line seems very fishy. OKC is one of those teams that plays much better at home than on the road. As someone in our group has mentioned, the Kings are like last year's Thunder. A young up and coming team, with alot of scrap that will cover alot. The home team usually sets the tempo, and the Kings like to run. I alos like the over due to the fact I think this game will come down to the end, with back and forth baskets and the possibility of OT. If forced to pick a side, I would go with the Thunder though. BOL.

Agree w/ this assessment - the Thunder seem to thrive at home in much the same way the Warriors, Jazz, and Trail Blazers do; there still remains doubt as to whether or not the Kings' past 2 opponents took them lightly and let Sacramento build up a head of steam that couldn't be curtailed until it was too late.

There's also the consideration of players stepping up to fill the void owing to the absence of Martin and Garcia; although not a fan of either, this initial bounce usually lasts only so long before players who are designated reserve roles start to falter in starter minutes.

An observation on last night's Philadelphia game - took the Sixers and it looked good until the 3rd; thought that the scoring droughts this team had experienced of late including the infamous no points for 6 minutes or so in an ABSOLUTE collapse to the Mavericks last season had been purged w/ the advent of Eddie Jordan, but it looks still to be of paramount concern. Lacking the discipline and foresight to kill off a Phoenix team early and quickly, the Sixers' thin confidence faded as the Suns cut into the double digit deficit. Something about how the team is constructed makes them prone to such brain cramps/seizures as such and may be of utility when contemplating placing a wager.

Billy i said it the other day about Kings and when i saw this match up i was intrigued.

This is the Thunders 3rd road game this year they won easily to the Pistons and lost in the same manner to the Rockets. The Rockets a very good team. I am not selling the Thunder. I just cap the total below 190 and favor the Thunder by 6-7...always keep in mind with my picks they are not reliable for play

Kings might be good for a little fade, they've played well first 2 games after their star went down, b2b besides, now had a day to cool off some and looking at wins Evans had 32+23, Udrih 15+20, Nocioni 14+10 with some addition from Thompson and Greene.
OKC has good defensive solutions for Evans in Sefolosha, who's not only def specialist, but same hight (lil lighter tho) and Westbrook who can play good defense too. Either way Evans and/or Udrih should be getting closed down tonight and its a kind of a good letdown spot for Kings, they won two without their star when no one expected them to, now they have to live up. Evans is gonna be good, but he's too young and Udrih is no 20ppg kinda guy.
Don't know what line movement was, but I can get OKC -1.5 and think its value in that line

Thanks for the info and the opinions Gents, I think I may just leave the Sac-OKC game alone altogether. Looking to lock in Houston at +7 if I can get it. Also the Nugs before it goes any higher. Looking for a total. Will let ya know what final plays look like.:toast:

Think may lay off and watch this game for future reference; both teams based on initial impressions this season can be relied on for an honest effort - hard to assess how good Evans is/will be consistently this early into his career - the general consensus only a week ago practically was ceding the Rookie-of-the-Year to Brandon Jennings - games since then have afforded his fellow 1st year peers the opportunity to find their bearings - Hansborough's effort the other night versus Washington also of note.

If the Thunder indeed win this game, the total has an excellent chance of being U - stats currently reflecting that public favoring the O by a 2:1 ratio so far.

Kings may be feeling good about themselves and getting a little ahead more than they should; despite the wizened experience of Westphal, hard to keep players' egos in check enough to not believe the hype.

Wizards -> + 8 :)padlock: in).

At most, one other play: Rockets side.

May return to the Thunder/Kings total based on how the early games unfold.

Best of luck to all w/ your picks :mj06:
