Another capping question. How do you feel about off numbers. Say a total opens at 204 and you take the team scoring averages and they add up to 196. recent scoring trends 194. Home and away 195 and recent meetings 192. Recent spreads head to head spreads were 197 and went under. No injuries reported or public perception to throw the line out of whack. Then the number moves up to 205. Do you immediately ask yourself what's wrong with this picture?

I'd have to don't I?
I don't really deal much with averages per se. The independent nature of each team's arrival at said average cannot be relied upon when introducing another very independent variable such as their opponent's numbers. Now if you had told me you arrived at each teams number by only considering say...common opponents and such, it would lend to more credibility for said 'average' I'm not even quite sure if you are referring to average as an 'arithmetic mean' of previous outputs. This approach is certainly adequate to 'spot' a funny number but it must be tracked in detail. Does a difference of 20 weigh more than a difference of 9. I've found that when numbers are off in the DD, there is something abound which we are just not privy to.

Is Denver still a possible play?

I am not just trying to suck your plays i just want to focus down.

I respect you enough to no play Philly here.

I was hoping for more after the last few days...it seems hard to get a Great Play!

no plays the last few days that you have been really into - what happened? did the books tighten up?

It really did for me...If you look at WBA's POD...I've posted nothing...It's just a dry spell where my 'routine' doesn't match the way the books are releasing their numbers. It comes in cycles. I was hoping to end the season with a bang. The playoffs are another story since I completely change the 'routine'....I'll just leave it at that for now..

Just referring to the average numbers everyone sees; like those on Covers matchup. Throw in a run of unders by each team, like 6 of 8. When I see things like this I'm always tempted to make a play with the line move away from what looks normal.

anyone ever play cle first q?
they are prob the bet 1q team in the nba scoring +4.4 pts in the q
nj is -0.7 in the first q
the line is cle -4 on the q
i know a few people who *almost* always, regardless of who they play, take cle in the 1q b/c they seem to love to dictate the play early and run a big lead
thinkin of tryin this out tonight with a small bet and see how it pans out

As for me I like how i am learning Unders here, but on sides.

First I like to play the better team.

Second I love the Home teams.

Last I do not like chalk 5 is ok and 10 sometimes but that is it.

So on sides i hate taking points and lesser teams. They are just to inconsistent...Twolves tonight if they play like i saw Monday they have a chance but they still lost by 12...

Whats ur thought on nj/cle over?

streaky...last 4 DD home fav games for CLE...under...4 before that...over...3 before that under

@190 I'm leaning over but the dpa and dps for dd fav games in CLE are trending for a tightening up of the defense and and slowing down the game. Tough call

Ok...if I were to sprinkle a little on a dog ML...this would be it. Don't want anyone to put any weight on that or read into it but that would be my dog su winner tonight.
